If you blink as you drive down Trafalgar, you might miss this restuarant. It's very small and cozy, but the food is excellent. Probably the best option for authentic Mexican food in London. The fajitas especially are really well done. I ordered take out, but would consider eating in next time.
We went out for date night, this was our first time visit. Friday night, no lineup, decorations were nice Mexican theme inside and out. The service is slow to greet guests and slow to bring drinks and follow up after food delivery. The menu is full of choices but a little hard to read because of letter font style and size combined with poor lighting. I tried the paella, my partner tried enchiladas. Both had good presentation but size of meal should be larger. The salad comes with the enchiladas but isn't very impressive. I found the price a little high for portions. Dinner for 2 was almost 100 with one dessert that was over priced again. 15 dollars for a single simple deep fried ice-cream. On a final note I believe it is owned and operated front and back end by East Indians. I tried speaking Spanish and the server knows none. Lol. The clientele is almost entirely white couples ages 30-50. I don't think you will see any Latinos dining here if that tells a story of its own. The table hot sauce tastes like hot vinegar. . They need more hot sauce options. With all said. I would recommend it, I will try anything once. I don't think you will love it or hate it
I love this place and we took friends who also loved it. Food is great, inexpensive compared to many other places and service is friendly. They also sell their own sauces which are delicious. It does look questionable on the outside but the inside is good. Don’t just drive by, go in.
Excellent. First time, and we drive by all the time. Always wanted to stop, finally did. Glad. Service was great, and flavours were authentic. Portions perfectly sized. Thanks
The food and service was A+. Homemade salad dressing and salsa was fantastic and the lady who service was cheerful and efficient. Will definitely recommend to friends
Great flavours. I always enjoy eating here. It's nothing fancy but seems authentic. It's like a little gem hidden beside a garage. I love the refried beans.
I've had the vegetarian burrito and quesadilla and the flavours were awesome. I would definitely recommend this place, don't be discouraged by the location, the food is authentic. I've gone with a meat eater friend and he also said the food was delicious. It's a bit expensive but the portions are large and food is very tasty.
Excellent! Love the food and friendly staff! The food is consistently great, fresh, and tasty. Highly recommend anything on the menu! Great tequila selection!
Awesome spot to eat. Prices, food and service are all spot on. A bit of a hike from old south, but worth the travel.
Last time: coronas and fish tacos
We liked it.Good food, quick and good service. Definitely go back to try something else from the menu
This is a small family run establishment. You don't go here for the location, it's kind of industrial. You don't go for a high end atmosphere. You go her to support a great small business with the best Mexican food I've had in London. Diner is basic but the food is great! Give it a try you won't be disappointed
Went to this great Mexican place around the corner on Trafalgar St with a group of three people. I ordered crispy fish tacos, enchiladas and quesadillas which was so good. Everything was so flavourful and the portion was good too. We also ordered Mexican soda drink Jarritos in lime and pineapple flavour that was served in their original glass bottles. Overall a good experience with authentic Mexican flavours.
So great. First time there. It was warm! Server Nicole was great. Helped us navigate the menu and offered suggestions. Margaritas were yummy, could have done with a bit more booze. All in all I’d go back. I would mention , and I find I usually do have to, that I don’t want my mains till my apps have been off the table for a few minutes and I want it hot. ……,,,,Loved it here! 👍
Went to Mexicactus for dinner with a group of 3. Ordered the chicken quesadilla a la grande. Decent portion size, lots of flavour but missing some heat. It would be nice to have some hot sauce on the table but probably not there because of covid. The waitress let us know to ask next time we go. The chips and salsa they give you to share with the table are excellent. My dinner mates ordered the burrito and tacos and enjoyed both meals. The service was excellent. I would recommend and will return.
Went in for a work event, tables were all ready set up and server prepared and ready, excellent choice for meals and our tables each had a wide variety with zero complaints, in fact there were numerous compliments on the spinach dip, fish tacos and of course I had the steak and it was made perfectly. The drinks kept coming which is also a bonus. Place was clean and friendly and would definitely recommend.
Yummy enchilada! Didn't care for the appetizers that we had which were the coconut shrimp and stuffed jalapenos. The shrimp were ok but they were served with tartar sauce and that was a weird sauce for the shrimp. The jalpenos were mushie. The main dishes we had were excellent. Overall a solid 4 stars.
A shout out to Mexicactus. Been quite a while since we’ve been. Came for a late lunch/early supper as it is quieter.
Excellent food. My honey had the steak fajitas and I had the Mexican beef enchiladas. Both were great! Mine could have been a bit warmer but the flavour was fantastic.
#supportlocal!
I had a chicken burrito and it was ok, the margarita on the rocks tasted weak but was good.
The atmosphere is nice.
I would go back because the service was excellent and the food is good, I just want to try something different.
Chicken Chimi, deep fried ice cream and a Mexican burger for a change.
We have went here several times and have really enjoyed it. This time chimi had barely any sauce, tiny bit of sour cream dropped ontop (I had smeared it before the pic), very little rice or beans.
I was so surprised!! Tasted great as usual but skimpy serving this time.
Burger was good but will stick to authentic menu in the future.
Ice cream was fantastic 😋 I could see going there, just for that.
So good, delish food. Great atmosphere, definitely will be coming back here and recommending this place 🤩
