I had an enjoyable experience! The only thing I would nitpick would be the lighting inside the restaurant. It gives the place a rather dark and gloomy vibe, especially during night time. They also have really friendly and attentive staff, which was a delight.
The food was delicious. I would recommend their dark/white waffles. I also tried both their milky chocolate milkshake and their dark chocolate milkshake and they honestly tasted very similar haha. I expected the dark one to be slightly more bitter. Nothing particularly bad or anything but, something I found interesting. They also have a lava cake on the menu minus the lava. It seemed more like brownies to me to be honest. But it was still really tasty!
Overall, I would still recommend this to anyone!
First time here, was awesome. Food was great, service also was great. I've been to the original in Montreal and this was just as good. Will be going back for brunch and bring as many people down there as I can.
Definelty reccomend the hot chocolates, and the Waffles were perfectly cooked, which is hard to find.
They no longer serve pistachio chocolate! But the service is still good, even though the server ignored me a couple times, but in their defense, they seemed busy.
Heard a lot of recommendations to this place so we finally checked it out. Had the outlaw chicken waffle, although it doesn't look like a super filling amount of food, I was stuffed. Thought I'd have room for dessert but had to come back later that day to try their volcano. My partner had the savory waffle and said it was very rich and delicious.
Our server was a young guy, very attentive - as someone who works in the food industry I have higher standards for the quality of service places give but this guy did an excellent job.
The water bottle and glasses were chilled which was appreciated on a day with weather that felt like 36°, later on that day we went back for our dessert after running errands and had tea while a thunder and lightning storm rolled through.
Loved it all, will be back for sure. Very cute little spot for a date :)
Very kind young people running this place! We got the milk chocolate fondue and it was great. The chocolate was delicious, the waffles were toasty, brownies were chewy and dense, and the fruit was fresh. Fondue chocolate was quite sweet - would consider mixing the dark and the milk chocolate next time. We also ordered the mocha and it was good.
Loved their crepes
Delicious hot chocolate and shakes
Great taste
Very friendly service
Beautiful interior decor
Great place for brunch or just a snack
Didn’t like the lattes though
The food was delicious and made in a timely matter, the only complaints were: we weren’t aware that you had to pay at the counter so we had waited a while for someone to come over to give bills/ clear plates. Until we ended up just going up. The place decor is cute, although looked very cluttered in one corner, and the amount of mice traps with peanut butter present was a little concerning. But understandable since Halifax is mouse central. Overall great otherwise!
This place provide mini grill with marshmallow fruits and chocolate to make your own S’mores. Atmosphere is friendly. Its also a good venue for kids.
Service isn't exceptional. Location is lovely and the food is always spectacular though. Have been there a couple times and have had their crepes and fondue. It's a great place to go with friends or even yourself for a nice quaint brunch. I like the location because you can easily include a water front stroll when you go.
The desserts are fancy af. I recommend the chocolate fondue, waffles, crepes... Honestly everything slaps here. Sweet little location as well.
