First time ordering as we live out of town and got the burger with the works and 2 order of fries with gravy.We certainly enjoyed that we could have our food delivered to our hotel at 3:00 in the afternoon and whom ever answered the phone was very friendly and patient with us.We will definitely be eating here again when we return to Halifax and would recommend Willy's Fresh Cut Fries! Best burger in a long time!�

I'm new to Halifax (only a few months here) and I have to say that (so far), this place has the best burgers and poutine I've had in this city. The burger patty is thick, and delicious, with the perfect amount of topping portions. I like a little chew to my burger (instead of medium rare and soft almost mushy chew) and this burger delivered!
I would recommend this place for anyone craving a great burger especially at a decent price.

Damn good burger and poutine. I love the burgers, and my daughter loves their poutine. This place might be the dictionary definition of "hole in the wall". Right now, there is only one place downtown that I will buy a burger and that is Willy's. Often when I am eating at a place like this I try to think how they could make it better; with Willy's I don't know what I could suggest.

Awesome Squeek to the Cheese!. Willy’s is awesome! It serves right out of the window onto Blowers Street for the late night drunkards who need their fast food fix. This place is fast with giant servings and awesome poutine. The cheese in the poutine is awesomely squeeky in the classic Quebec design. If you want to avoid the craziness that is Smoke’s Poutinerie any late night of the week, than Willy’s is the place to be!

think the most important thing that sets Willy's apart from the rest are the french fries. Even just with ketchup these are amazing, Willy`s knows how to stick to the basics.

Awesome little streetside shop for homemade burgers and fries. Good price too for downtown location. Service is friendly and quick. Totally recommend them. It's a take-out only outlet.

It's a take out only, so there's not much atmosphere to it. The poutine itself is really good tough, especially the gravy - which is even vegetarian btw. Would recommend.

The best poutine I had on my trip to Canada! We visited on our first day and shared a large steak poutine. It was so delicious! So much so, we went back on our last day and had another steak poutine and donair poutine! The gravy is really tasty and the chips perfectly crisp so they don’t go soggy. If you want good poutine whilst in Halifax, Willy’s is definitely the place!

Ordered a large donair - medium is a good enough size. Tastes as good as anywhere else. Washroom was also closed at the time. In that case, I would recommend a donair sub instead as the pita is messy and will leave you with sticky fingers from the sweet sauce. I also recommend those new to donair (like me) to start with half the sauce. Didn't try the pizza, but it looked fresh, especially the veggie one. Good value overall.

Best poutine I've had. Willy's is open late night and early morning for those downtown in need of something to munch on. Service is outside, and there is usually a crowd around the window to place orders and eat. Service is quick and efficient, but the atmosphere is mostly just the street and the customers. Expect people to be drunk nearby due to the location and hours of operation.

Are you downtown looking for fries? Is it 2am and you're hungry? Or 5pm. Basically anytime they are open and you are looking for food that is so good and so filling go to Willy's. Hands down the best in the city.

We noticed a lineup outside their ordering window and had to inquire. The people waiting for their order convinced us o. Their burgers and poutines. We were not disappointed. The burgers were excellent, loaded and juicy. And I’m not a fan of poutines, but we were impressed. The homemade fries makes a big difference.

Swung by here around midnight and it was busy! We ordered a classic poutine and it was absolutely delicious! It was one of my fiancé’s fave late night joint in Halifax when he was out there for school and it sounds like it’s still a local favourite several years later :)
