Best indian food in halifax. I have few dishes but all of them were perfectly cooked and the quantity was worth the money. My personal favourite was Pav Bhaji (super tasty).
Very delicious Indian food! We had Butter Chicken, Paneer Butter Masala, plain rice, two orders of garlic naan and mango lassi! All so tasty. When we ordered, the server asked "Normal spicy or Indian spicy?" We loved that question! The normal spicy was spicy enough for me!!
The flavours were so rich and deep; the sauces for both dishes was sooo yummy, we were spooning it up. The butter chicken was very tender. My first time having paneer, it was delicious!
The restaurant was very busy but the staff were on top of things. The food came out within 15 minutes of ordering it. Wait staff were very attentive, checking in multiple times and clearing our dishes quickly.
Overall a great experience. Will definitely return!!
We happened upon this place that was close to the hotel. I love Indian food and this place did not disappoint. The servers there were really friendly, they were also considerate as they offered less spicy versions of their dishes which I declined as I like spicy food. I had the onion Baji as a starter and the lamb vindaloo with rice and the really delicious garlic naan for the main. My plates were empty and I'd love to have more but I was too full. I'd definitely be making a return visit on my next visit to Halifax.
Living nearby and constantly watch this place be busy we had to give it a go. It was nothing short of delicious. We got the papadums, chicken tikka masala, lamb, garlic naan and it was all fantastic and quick! We got our order within 10-15 minutes and the servers were very polite and helpful. Wry enjoyable experience and will be back again!

Hands down the best Indian food in Halifax. It's my birthday meal every year as well as a special treat now and again. It's the only place I recommend to friends and travelers. Consistently delicious food, great portion sizes, and friendly service.

Last weekend I and my friends had dinner at mirchi tandoor on the occasion of my brother's birthday. I really appreciate the services provided by the mirchi tandoor as they serve services to all people equally because I have observed it they serve so quickly, we ordered lots of things on that day and I think we got our food after 20 minutes approximately after ordering it this is the reason it is one of the famous restaurants in halifax and so many people love to visit here. The main thing of food is taste which is brilliant hats off to the chief and his team who cooks such a good food. If you visit there then you should try each and every dish because all are tasty specially the soya chap tandoori, kadai panner, pav bhaji, samosa chat these are the best dish by him which I liked the most. Even, my brothers loved the non-vegetarian food made by him. So, In my perspective all should go and try food there. Also, they present food in punjabi dhaba style which remind us memory of Punjab. Even, the owner comes to everyone's table to confirm all is good did which is also a good point . Overall, I suggest you to go there to enjoy there brilliant services and best taste.
Really impressed with the quality and quantity of food. All the dishes we ordered had authentic Indian taste. Quantity was also good. But there were only 2 ladies taking orders and serving. It was clearly overwhelming for them. Otherwise everything was excellent.
The food here is some of the best I’ve had on the planet! The lamb madras is a must, the roasted cardamom flavours hits beautifully. We’ve eaten here about a dozen times now and every dish is amazing!
I was worried as we were 1st to arrive and well the bathroom is gross, since all the urine stains must have been from earlier in the day or from the day before. I am a little concerned it that is going to reflect on the food. Restaurant itself looks clean and service was fast and very nice. The food…. Looked, smelled and tasted amazing. I just did butter chicken but it was so creamy and good. I will be back
