Food was great! The service was friendly and very fast considering how busy it was. We sat in the patio and it was gorgeous out.. as it got a little chilly outside in the evening they turned on the patio heaters and it was extremely pleasent. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for some authentic Mexican cuisine and a great atmosphere.
The food was SO good! We were all very happy with everything we ordered! The service was great and we didn’t wait very long for our meals-and with a toddler, that’s key! I recommend you call ahead to book a table though-we had a cozy dinner of 5 in a booth. My one suggestion for the restaurant is to work on a kids menu-ordering a full plate for my 3 year old was a bit of a waste. We’ll be back for sure!
Tasty food! Great place to meet with friends. Lots of the appetizers are easily shareable - i really liked the esquite. The birria stew I ordered was good but not as flavourful as other birria I've had. Our server was polite and nice. The whole menu looks good so I'd definitely try this place more than once.
Fresh tacos & nachos with a michelada!! The service was very helpful and was able to seat us even without any reservations. The restaurant usually gets completely booked, so I would recommend making a reservation. The waiter was very helpful with food substitutions as well.
As for food...lots of choices here but you cannot go wrong with Baja tacos! Fresh ingredients, served hot, with a variety of hot sauces! The food is reasonably priced as compared to other restaurants in the city.
I first ate here last year while visiting Halifax. I liked it so much, I came back again during another recent trip to Nova Scotia. While the prices are a tad pricey (this eatery is located in a prime tourist zone), I was still happy to eat here with my family, as I found the food delicious, the service efficient and friendly, and the decor a lot of fun.
Our waitress was also very helpful in giving us tips on places to visit in the city. Indeed, thanks to our server, I was able to discover a wonderful children's bookstore.
We didn't go inside so can't say much about that but outside seating was great...our waiter was lacking on asking if we needed another drink so we were empty so a period of time but seemed busy so nothing major but the food...drool...my daughter loved her nachos and wife lived her burrito but I had the jalapeños popper burger with taco salad and the burger for me would be in my top 3 of all time. The taco salad was so fresh tasting and the fish taco was so good I ordered a second....definitely a place we will be going back to when we go back to Halifax.

I haven’t tried a lot of Mexican restaurants in Halifax but I was extremely happy with Antojo! All our dishes were perfect and were extremely good price wise. All items were prepared very swiftly!
The nachos were baked to the crisp! The tacos too seemed to be the show stealer(understandably given their name). I had the Chicken Quesadilla personally this time to try something different (I’m more of a burrito guy) and definitely loved it. The chicken stuffing was delicious. Only nit pick would be it wasn’t as spicy as I wished for but they had an assortment of sauces on our table which was useful for me.
The atmosphere is perfect if you’re out and looking to have a nice relaxing time. Good music, nice vibes and importantly fantastic food. Definitely earned a permanent spot on my Halifax list of restaurants!

Here's my honest review of Antojo tacos & tequila.💀 I visited with my wife for some dinner and had an excellent dining experience. Below is my full review:
Parking can be a little tricky so we decided to find a paid parking lot and walked over. Parking was about $6 so keep that in mind. Upon entry we were immediately greeted and opted to sit inside.
The restaurant is beautifully decorated with a nice bar and offers plenty of seating. We decided to sit in the back where it was a little bit more quiet.
We ordered tacos (tinga, pastor and cauliflower) the tacos were delivered within minutes and they were absolutely delicious. The serving size is on the smaller end however the quality and taste makes up for the smaller portion.
Overall we enjoyed our dinner. We stayed for about 2 hours and would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for that mexican taste

Tacos and margaritas. Perfect lunch.
I ordered 1 carnitas and 1 al pastor taco.....then I asked about the beef tongue. The bartender told me that it was actually the staff favorite so I had to try it. Surprise surprise...It was the best one. Highly recommend. You just have to get past the idea that you're eating something that can taste you back.
We went here on our first night in town, on a Saturday night. We were welcomed and seated quickly. There are a lot of food and drink choices. The waiter worked with our requests - no refried beans, or cilantro.
We ended up ordering 4 tacos (chicken and Baja fish) and 1/2 chicken nacho plate for 2 people. I prefer the Baja fish taco, but both tacos were delicious! The 1/2 nacho plate was flavourful and the chicken was tender. This was definitely enough for 2 people. The waiter often checked in to see if we needed anything else. If given the opportunity, I would definitely dine in again!
This place was amazing, great vibe, great food and great service. The chips are made there and delicious. I had the guacamole e chips and was so full! Good size serving.great vegan options.
We had wonderful experience. We ordered burrito mozada and Chicken enchiladas. Enchiladas was the best that I’ve ever tried in canada. Burrito mozada was also good but lacked taste however the good part was the sauce that restaurant offers. 4 different sauces made my day and they were perfect and gave different spicy taste to the burrito.
Now the best part was our server: Mckayla, she was really nice and attentive. Throughout our time in the restaurant, she was 10 out of 10 (to be honest I can give 20 out of 10 for her wonderful service). Please keep up your work because it made our visit memorable.
