Wonderful restaurant! I highly recommend if you love small plates and excellent wine pairings. Love how the cheese board and charcuterie board includes new discoveries. Staff are great at suggesting wine pairings, you can taste a couple and then choose your favourite.

lovely atmosphere, food was good but potatoes were borderline burnt on the bottom and the tempura oyster mushrooms felt a bit bland and salty, could have benefited from some sort of dip. loved the wine tasting and the service was fantastic.
We found Soif on Raisin app cause we were searching for a natural wine restaurant. We had a great time there, we enjoyed very much the food and the wines were exactly at the level of our expectations. The service was great, we were served by a waiter with mustaches, we don’t know his name but he was très sympa!
The pairing between caramel+chocolate cake and madeira, suggested by him, was super!!! ;)

One of the best French wine bar experiences one could ever find. Almost too authentic that you can pinch yourself and verify if it is real.
This place is lovely and feels intimate, with low lighting and a rich experience of food and drinks. Had the wine flights and tried several dishes. Portions are small even though the style is to share. Quite expensive but it's an elevated cuisine. The staff are amazing and very knowledgeable of the wines and dishes. Great place to have a long and chatty dinner with friends!
I found Soif while doing a search in Eater for restaurants in the area. We were looking for a place to have Valentines Day dinner while in Ottawa for two days. The review was amazing and our experience was even better. The staff was highly attentive and well-knowledgeable on the courses, ingredients, cooking style and wine. We had the prix fixe menu for the evening with premium wine pairings and I’m glad that we chose that. The seating and environment is intimate and I’d highly recommend it for a special occasion or anytime you’d like a great dining experience.
Exceptional experience, exceptional service, exceptional food and wine! The restaurant itself is cosy and comfortable and the staff are super attentive and friendly. The pairings were so good! Each sip was a surprise and the Quebec wines were our favourites. We very much enjoyed the chats with the staff about their choices for us. Very much recommended.
Amazing wine selection. Of course, we didn't expect anything less, and that was the primary reason we went. We were extremely surprised by the food, which was incredible.

Their food all comes in small shareable dishes. The food was pretty good but this is more of a wine bar with a huge selection of wines and drinks. That is for sure the highlight of coming here.
Service was pretty good as well and overall would repeat coming back.
