Wonderful restaurant! I highly recommend if you love small plates and excellent wine pairings. Love how the cheese board and charcuterie board includes new discoveries. Staff are great at suggesting wine pairings, you can taste a couple and then choose your favourite. Extensive selection of wine and other beverages. Easy five stars!

lovely atmosphere, food was good but potatoes were borderline burnt on the bottom and the tempura oyster mushrooms felt a bit bland and salty, could have benefited from some sort of dip. loved the wine tasting and the service was fantastic.

We found Soif on Raisin app cause we were searching for a natural wine restaurant. We had a great time there, we enjoyed very much the food and the wines were exactly at the level of our expectations. The service was great, we were served by a waiter with mustaches, we don’t know his name but he was très sympa! The pairing between caramel+chocolate cake and madeira, suggested by him, was super!!! ;)

One of the best French wine bar experiences one could ever find. Almost too authentic that you can pinch yourself and verify if it is real.

This place is lovely and feels intimate, with low lighting and a rich experience of food and drinks. Had the wine flights and tried several dishes. Portions are small even though the style is to share. Quite expensive but it's an elevated cuisine. The staff are amazing and very knowledgeable of the wines and dishes. Great place to have a long and chatty dinner with friends!

I found Soif while doing a search in Eater for restaurants in the area. We were looking for a place to have Valentines Day dinner while in Ottawa for two days. The review was amazing and our experience was even better. The staff was highly attentive and well-knowledgeable on the courses, ingredients, cooking style and wine. We had the prix fixe menu for the evening with premium wine pairings and I’m glad that we chose that. The seating and environment is intimate and I’d highly recommend it for a special occasion or anytime you’d like a great dining experience.

Exceptional experience, exceptional service, exceptional food and wine! The restaurant itself is cosy and comfortable and the staff are super attentive and friendly. The pairings were so good! Each sip was a surprise and the Quebec wines were our favourites. We very much enjoyed the chats with the staff about their choices for us. Very much recommended.

Cute little spot close to portage 5 min from Ottawa. Their food all comes in small shareable dishes. The food was pretty good but this is more of a wine bar with a huge selection of wines and drinks. That is for sure the highlight of coming here. Service was pretty good as well and overall would repeat coming back.

Really solid experience at Soif! We tried a few dishes but our favourites were the Brussels sprouts, duck, and the hazelnut dessert. My husband enjoyed his wine pairing and my drink was good as well. The service is fairly quick and friendly and the atmosphere is great. We will come back. The prices are also reasonable for the plate size.

Incroyable! Magnifique! Two words that would describe this gastronomical experience. Do you like wine? Small plates? Interested in trying something different? If so, this is a must do! Friends invited me to their favourite place and it didn’t disappoint. From the flight of wine, to the bison tartare, the roasted quail, vegetable tempura, tuna and tomato tarts - it was all delicious. The service was impeccable, friendly and attentive! All the new ‘standard protocols’ are in place and yet, you still feel like you are transported to some magical culinary place. Enjoy your visit! Oops, I almost forgot to mention the corn beignets! Wow! Incroyable expérience culinaire! All the dishes are excellent. Amazing hospitality, you can tell the whole team is happy to be at work.

Have been to Soif numerous times and without fail, the dining experience is always spectacular, from the service, knowledgeable servers to the creative menu items. Today my friend and I savoured their wine flights with wines from France and Spain and the main course of pork with mushrooms in a jus was flavourful and done to perfection. Highly recommend.

Last night was our 5th visit to Soif. However, it was the first time I was a little bit disappointed. The food was great but both of us were still in appetite of something else after the dinner. And for once, the choice and quantity of wine for the pairing was ordinary. Usually everything is wow, but for Valentine's day, it was ordinary and for $270 taxes and service included, a little too pricy for what we got. Usually a 5 star but for last night 2
