Ho my... one of the best steak i ever had.
I did not know to what kind of restaurant i was going, all i did was... best steakhouse in ottawa and google maps show me the way to that place. Now, although at first i must admit i felt a bit out of my place (the restaurant is a bit classy, and we were on our way back to our camping ground with my 5 year old daughter after a day at the museums). The personnel's service was mint, even though you could tell it's not a place for children, but my daughter felt like a little princess living the "grande vie" and behave accordingly (really not a place if you have disturbing childrens lol). I'm not sure if it to make our daughter special because she behaved so well, but the owner gave her an amazing chocolate cake on the house ! (talk about service !)
Prices are what i would expect from a place like this, not for the slim purse, but real fine considering the kind of place. I will definitly go back, but probably alone with my wife the next time for a couple's night out ;)
Very attentive service, steaks were cooked to perfection on a real wood burning grill, and we had a lovely room to boot. We reserved a table and had a nice quiet spot for dinner where we had a lovely view of the river. 100/100 - would not change a thing.
We reserved at this restaurant after having a reference from the manager of the Bestwestern expecting a good meal in a nice romantic restaurant. The food was fabulous from the appetizers to the desserts. The filet mignon was the best we ever ate. The service and staff were impeccable! I felt like being on cruise ship with all the attention we got. As a bonus we had a nice view of the river. This was definitely a nice way to end the day and celebrate our anniversary. I would rate this restaurant 6 stars out 5.
