The new Bourbon Burger was cooked a bit more than I usually like and with a thin patty. However, the light char of the burger mixed with the sweetness of the candied bacon and bourbon sauce was a nice pairing. The french fries were my favourite; a light and flaky, but very crispy fry. The service was nice and the decor was quite stunning. I look forward to going back and checking out some of their other dishes. A great lunch with the work crew.
We were visiting Fredericton for the first time. We prefer to dine locally (vs. big franchises that you can find anywhere). We enjoyed our meal so much, we returned the next day for lunch!! Our first meal was dinner (and I remembered to take photos) The seafood casserole was recommended and it did not disappoint. With large pieces of scallop, shrimp and white fish in a delicious sauce and cheese topping, it came with choice of potatoe (I chose baked) and seasonal vegetables...which I always anticipate as boring....but this was a yummy combination of julienned carrots, zucchini and peppers that had a great seasoning. My bf got the club sandwich with fries and coleslaw. Made to perfection. And the slaw was a vinegrette dressing...not soggy, with the right amount of tang! I appreciated that this restaurant also supports Canadian when I saw the French's ketchup. The house wine was a Pinot Grigio by Copper Moon that paired well with my meal. And dessert!! The Sticky Toffee Cake...very sweet and the perfect size to share (Too big to eat alone...unless you have a major sweet tooth!!)
Our second meal, I didn't take photos...but the meals were equally delicious. Our lunch companion had one of their signature burgers and was quite pleased. My bf went simple with a BLT and fries and was impressed. I ordered the Adult Grilled Cheese sandwich...loaded with rotisserie chicken, three cheese mix and dill pickles (grilled inside)...omg, so delicious! I also paired my adult sandwich with a local adult beverage by York County Cider. I enjoyed it so much, I stopped by the local NB liquor store to take some back home to Ontario!!
Good atmosphere, great service. The menu options were not very unique like some other restaurants, but what they offered they did very well. I had the quarter chicken and the leg was smaller than what I'm used to, and my husband ordered Nachos which was very good, and shepherd's pie (also good). We would come back. Good prices too!
