Went here for the first time... It's a huge restaurant which makes it seem a lot emptier than it probably is. We decided to order off the menu instead of having the buffet. The chicken korma and coconut rice with garlic naan was very flavourful... the perfect dish! We also tried the beef vindaloo which was also good but they were not kidding when they said it was spicy, normally I can handle very hot food but this was too spicy for me. Overall the food and service was great, I will definitely be back here.
This place was absolutely dead as a doornail on Tuesday evening. However, it was immediately apparent that the food is good, and the lunch buffet must be considerable. Lunch here, lunch often if you are able to do so.
Good buffet, no service to speak of.. I went today for the lunch buffet, and was mostly satisfied. The butter chicken was good (still no Masala Express!), though the beef curry was only mediocre. The naan bread was the best I've had at a buffet and the rice was fluffy and fresh. I also enjoyed the dessert. I forget what it's called. It's like a donut in syrup? Anyway, yum.
There was no service to speak of. Nobody even came and asked me for a drink order, so I went with water. I didn't expect much from a buffet, but this was particularly neglectful.
Overall thumbs up because indian buffets can be very bad, and from a food perspective this was not at all. Also the company was excellent!
Best Indian Food Buffet. I have tried quite a few Indian Buffets and I LOVE this one. I saw a lot of poor reviews but I think because I am vegetarian, I am happy about the fewer meat dishes that some have complained about. If you get there before 11:30, everything is piping hot and delicious. Once when I was there, I asked if they could make veggie korma (my fav dish) for the buffet and they actually did it! Their Naan bread isn't as good as some other places but the selection and taste are the best in town!
Tasty Takeout. I have never been to the restaurant, but my office frequently orders from Royal India for lunch meetings. The butter chicken is delicious, and I love their garlic naan. Another favourite is the seafood korma. Whenever we have leftovers from a meeting, they last maybe 10 minutes in the kitchen - the whole office loves this food!
Best east Indian food in town, by far!

Great food for great price. Royal India is the second Indian restaurant I've been to in my life, though to enjoy it at its peak I'll have to learn to eat my vegetables.
However I had some food that I believe even meat lovers would like to eat with the minimum amount of meat.
I was in a group of approximately 18 people, and I started myself with a Mango Lemonade. Tasted so good that I pretty much gulped it... which isn't very smart because I was expecting spicy food to come up (I can handle spice fairly well though). For an appetizer I had the veggie samosa to myself, which I should've considered the fact that it contains a lot of potatoes it'll fill me up good. The pastry was a bit tough around the corners and dry, but the rest just crumbles nicely and the filling is really good.
The entree came about an hour later, but it's understandable with a party of 18 guests. Once the food came out, I was pretty stoked. I had the beef curry with garlic naan. The curry was good, though the beef was a bit dry but still flavorful. It's not tough so I enjoyed it crumbling in my mouth despite being pretty dry. The naan bread well... who could go wrong? It's simply awesome!
All in all, the food was great, I really enjoy the drinks and probably should've ordered another. The small bowl that the curry is shoved into is very deceiving since it fills you up good (or maybe it's the fact that samosas and naan are probably more filling, who knows?). I feel bad for not finishing the curry, but I did eat all the beef inside. I will definitely come back and maybe be a little more adventurous next time!

Awesome buffet large variety to choose from. Definitely get the bang for the buck
Authentic!. I've eaten at lots of Indian places before, but Royal India has so far been perhaps the most memorable taste-wise. Instead of the standard samosas and pakoras for appetiizers, we took the maitre d's recommendation and went for the fish tikka(?), which was well done without overpowering the delicateness of the fish, or making it bone-dry.
The classic curries were well done, with just enough spice. The naan was not overcooked to burnt charcoal, and the chai tea rich and flavourful with a wonderful blend of spices. Overall, definitely worth a trip back!
