My wife and I have always enjoyed and trusted the Countryhills/Edgemont Ricky's and now my young granddaughter joins me. The staff are so attentive especially with her, this is her favorite place as well as mine. It is really special to come to local restaurant and be treated as family. It is a relaxed and always pleasant time here with excellent staff and delicious meals. I value this Ricky's and always feel valued as staff are always so caring. With these uncertain times this is my choice for occasional meals. Thanks, Rick
Just wanted to say thank you for so easily veganizing the portobello mushroom ciabatta sandwich, & it was absolutely delicious. Our server was very kind & helpful. Highly recommend this location!
Note: There does exist multiple locations along country hills – our favourite is by the Superstore in Edgemont/Hamptons. Looking for a lazy afternoon lunch – we visited the neighbourhood Ricky’s. This location is quite popular, with a mixed demographic of families, seniors and young adults. The service (when we’ve gone) has been stellar, though I think our favourite server has moved on :(. The burgers are piled high – as shown with our orders of the California Crunch Chicken Burger (~$14) with layers of bacon & avocado….and the Mighty Mushroom Burger ($15.50) with swiss and sautéed mushrooms. Oh so comforting for large appetites!
I like the food here i mena i have never been a fan of rickys but this one resturants food Is great! I love the chunky hash browns. The salads are amazing! and the staff at this one was super nice the busser was fast and always had a smile on her face she even stopped to talk to me. I think her name was Alexis. All in all the server was great too.
We have been frequenting Ricky's after we tired of the limited available restaurants in the immediate area. Food is good but service is a revolving door, never consistent. 50/50 attentive or forgetful. They cook gets my steak right Everytime do that's plus!
Good Visit. Went on the weekend, was very busy, but service and food was much above my expectations. Thanks for doing a great job
It's Ricky's, what are you looking for?. I've been in and ordered out from here quite a few times. There are things I absolutely do not recommend (the veggie burger - burnt, tasteless and the Asian salad - don't remember what it's called exactly but ugh, serves me right for ordering something like that here).
But they make a FANTASTIC omelet and I'm picky when it comes to eggs. I had a veggie omelet and it was light and fluffy and big. Hashbrowns on the side were average but there's not a whole lot you can do with the typical shredded hashbrown dish. Our server has always been super nice and very accommodating - I believe her name is Andrea.
I'm not going to go around town and shout "go to Ricky's" but I wouldn't tell people NOT to go either. Just know what to expect. It's Ricky's... Come on.
Their Brekkie Bowl is my fave! Bacon, eggs, hashbrowns, tomatoes and Hollandaise sauce... What's not to like?
Pretty good for what it is. Let's face it, Ricky's is not the place to go for a "outstanding" meal. That being said, what it does, it does well. The menu has a really good selection, and the kids menu is great. I've tried five or six things from the menu and haven't been disappointed yet. You just have to remember that this is a diner. You're not going to get a great steak in a place like this, but the sandwiches are good and so are most of the appetizers. My wife really likes the spinach salad here as well, and they have a few asian inspired dishes that are pretty good for diner food.
I know it gets really busy on weekend mornings for the breakfast rush, but just go for a late breakfast or a nice family dinner and you won't be disappointed.
I ordered the Certified Angus Steak Sandwich which was a delicious 6oz sirloin, grilled to medium-rare as it’s what I love, on a great garlic Portuguese bun, topped with Forty Creek Whiskey BBQ sauce, topped with onion crisps! Well, I was suppose to get onion crisps, but they gave me some onion rings instead – which I love it more! On the side, ther was some sweet potato fries and cajun aioli dip. This was delicious and very memorable!
