The best breakfast place we found in Calgary on our vacation. The Bennies were perfect! 10/10 would recommend.
I visit frequently for brunch and highly recommend this place. The food is always great and the service is even better. There was a little mistake this morning but they handled it with class - far better than other places I have been to recently - and so I'll continue to be a repeat customer. ��
Eat here! The food is wonderful and so is the service! The Kale & Mushroom Benny was delicious and full of mushroom flavor not to mention the sweet carmelized onions. Oh and don’t forget to get a side of their fluffy and crunchy corn bread if it doesn’t come with your dish. Only downside is no fancy coffees or teas. Only drip coffee but they have oat milk. The food is worth it though. Will be going back this weekend for sure!
Funky little diner with great service, great food and great ambience. Food is excellent and has a huge portion too. If you love fries, make sure you order fries as a side. The fries covered half of the plate. But I chose salad just to maintain a healthy diet - should have gone with the fries.
No wait on a weekday for lunch. Service is fast and friendly. The food was cooked perfectly and a highlight for sure. Our coffee was always topped up and the staff are very pleasant. It is not a large space but feels very warm and welcoming. Really reminds me of the local hotspots with individuality that I like.
We came in as the website wait list said there was no wait. However, as other reviews have mentioned, the wait time on a Sunday is crazy long, with 45-60 min wait to be seated and then another 45-60 minute wait for food to arrive. However the staff were all very kind and attentive and the food, when it eventually arrived, was really really good. FYI, no lattes! Only drip coffee with cream and sugar, which was sort of sad. But really tasty food, with big portion sizes! Cost $112 for 5 meals and some coffee and milkshakes, which we felt was fair and typical of similar places.
Loved Blue Star, everyone was so nice and efficient, had a great experience. Our entrees were lovely and the kids meals were huge. Glad we stopped in.
The food is really good and wide variety of dishes to choose from. I judge by eggs Benedict and they know how to make them. This place understands the difference between soft and medium poached eggs Bennie 😊
Very friendly staff and the lunch was good. They have gluten-free options and I choose for the salmon-avocado Bennies.
