Had the breakfast sandwich and was THE BEST breakfast sandwich I’ve had in Calgary!! The perfect combination of flavours and textures! Will definitely be returning ! Thank you for being a true representation of Urban Calgary!
My favourite place for healthy, grab-and-go options that I can heat up at home and pretend that I cooked! Kidding, Brett and the amazing chefs at ODB get all the credit, of course. :)
I have been here many times and eaten literally all of the sandwiches and salads that they have to offer and have never been let down. Always delicious! The staff are so friendly it's hard not the think of them as family. And now they have wine and a few other fun surprises behind the counter. Just the other day I had a delicious ceasar made by Sarah. I truly love coming here! I always leave happier than when I left.
Love this place - Everything on the menu is top notch - breakfast sandwiches, coffee (check out their coffee shop, Neighbour, in Altadore! It's great), Avocado Toast (millenials, ha!), and take out dinners! The take out dinners are the best! New menu every week! A friend of mine went to one of their catered events one time and he said it was amazing! I don't know what Patrickbatemanloves69 was thinking (but he does have a pretty sweet screen name!)
I love this place! I love the breakfast and lunch menus and grab-and-go dinner and snack options. Try the falafel or jerk chicken sandwiches. The coffee is delicious too.
I absolutely love the quaint little setup of their space. Customer service has always been great and friendly. The higher end grocery, books, and kitchenware they sell are identical pricing for the same stock elsewhere (e.g. Planet Organic, Williams-Sonoma, etc.), although I mostly go for their salad bar and sandwiches. Their breakfast sandwich and grilled cheese is delicious, salads are always creative and rotating through fresh seasonal flavours and vegetables, and coffee is fantastic (Anchored from Nova Scotia if I'm not mistaken). I have yet to try their grab-and-go dinners but they look amazing as well. They also stock Cru Juice. I always try to swing by if I'm in the area. :)
The several times we were here, we received great service and food. We especially enjoyed the avocado toast. The pomegranate molasses served with the toast is to die for. This spot has become one of our go-tos.
ODB is an amazing location, very chill place to stop in for a bite, does great take out meals that are creative and super tasty and I've heard great things about their catering. Would visit again!
Have been wanting to hit this spot for a while now, as I've always heard good things about them. Summarizing some of the other reviews, ODB is a local-friendly bistro that specializes in fresh quality ingredients. I ordered the spiced porchetta sandwich, and knew immediately why this place was so well-liked. The pieces of pork were cooked tenderly, and the flavour was carried well with the use of harissa and crackling. I found each bite to be consistently flavourful, and it was obvious that the ingredients were fresh and well prepared. I also tried some of their house made kale chips, which I thought tasted delicious, crunchy, and savoury as well. While the food here tends to err on the side of costing a bit more than other sandwich bistros, it may very well be worth it if you're in the mood!
This is a cute little place, kind of in the middle of nowhere up 14th street. It's next to a starbucks and has a small parking lot.
We tried the sandwiches; the food was good, but nothing memorable. It seems like they change the menu constantly though, I'd be willing to try again. It's a bit on the pricier side, approx 25$+ for two lunch dishes. We opted for two bottles of Cru Juice for our beverage though and that was another 24$ ish.
They offer lots of items since it's a type of grocery store.. You can find different take home food items, local ice creams, and juices like Cru Juice.
They have a big table inside and also some seating outside. The store itself is really clean and the washroom was well kept too. I'd check it out if you are into local foods.
