This is one of my favorite family style Vietnamese restaurants in the city. If you're looking for a place with delicious soups as well as appetizers and subs, this is definitely the place to go! I've been here regularly since it opened and it's always been a great experience. My favorites include 46b, 71 and the viet subs, you can't go wrong!
Pretty filling rice and sate beef. I wish they had more onions and a bit more sate sauce. I usually come here for the bo luc lac but wanted to try something different today. I also order a soup in the side not bad either! There isn't too many good viet places in the sw.
This is my neighbourhood viet restaurant. It's my go-to for an easy, reliable consistent pho or sub. I normally get take out and it seems like I never have to wait more than 10 minutes from the moment I walk in...even if it's busy. The portions are large and the prices very reasonable.
Pretty big selection of dishes and their menu has photos for each dish. They serve shredded pork salad rolls (love these). Pretty good bun Bo hue. Very good pork chop on rice. Ate here three times in the last month (got delivery twice and went in once). It's definitely up there on my list of Viet places in the neighbourhood.
I always come here for the Com Bo luc lac, seen in this picture. Top 3 in the city for sure but behind basil ultimate pho. It's very good for a restaurant in the sw!
Great food. Large portions. Better price... And the service is top notch. I recommend if you are looking for a great soup. 2nd best soup I've tried in Calgary!
Great little Viet place. Luv how the menu is all pictures! The spicy soup is so good. Portions are large and delicious! To top it all off it's a great deal.
Our server was friendly and quick, and the food was delicious. It is one of the more authentic bun bo hue soups i've had that wasn't in the NE part of town! The only complaint I have is regarding the small portion sizes for a comparable price as other restaurants. I, someone with a relatively small appetite, was to finish by dish in its entirety, so I imagine anyone with a bigger appetite may leave feeling underfed. But overall still a good dining experience.
Come here for lunch quite a bit. The food is consistently good and the prices are either even or slightly cheaper than other VIetnamese places in the city. The one downside is the service. They never seem to have enough servers working, and it's not unusual to have to find yourself going to grab your own utensils and water. Particularly if you come at lunchtime on a weekday when their dining area is full of students from the nearby high school, good luck with service on those days.
If you come in off-peak times, that's the ideal scenario!
I absolutely adore this Vietnamese place. It's located snugly in a strip mall by the 69th street LRT station and I find that they have just enough tables for customers so there is never a wait. The menu selection is plentiful and prices are more than reasonable. The food comes out extremely fast and the service is fabulous. I never know whether I should get pho or vermicelli because both are so good! Make sure to have their banana spring roll for dessert- deep fried bananas with ice cream! Delicious!
