I come all the way from Vancouver for their dim sum! What a treat! Great Chinese food! Highly recommend, you won’t be disappointed!
Been coming here for lunch during work hours for many years. My usual orders are the grilled ground shrimp on vermicelli (#24), satay seafood pho (#32) and the seafood & veg on crispy egg noodles (#61). All the dishes are a good sized portion and reasonably priced for downtown. I like the amount of meat and seafood that are in the dishes and the food always tastes fresh. Service isn’t the greatest and sometimes too slow, which makes us eat in a hurry, but otherwise I enjoy coming here.
Been around forever, it's a fairly regular DT lunch spot with the office crowd and can get quite busy. The food isn't bad but geared for Western -- i.e.: 'white' -- tastes with prices to boot. It can get quite expensive. The food itself is decent, but as others have noted not outstanding. Spring rolls are pretty much spring rolls no matter where you go. I personally like those out of the way gangsta Pho joints which are usually much better quality at about half the price.
I use to come here once or twice a week. But recently I have noticed a steady decline in there quality and portion sizes.... although it's not "bad" I do see this place slowly creeping out of my top 10 Vietnamese spots
Good food, reasonably priced, and friendly staff. The Pho was great, spicy but not too spicy. The staff was friendly and the service was fast without making you feel like you were rushed.
I strolled by here looking for a new vietnamese place to try. The location is nicely decorated and I like when restaurants have dim lighting. The food was good, but the service is a bit slow.
A cozy spot for the winter. It's a great restaurant, and even if you're not asian food fan (like ,yself), you'd still enjoy the chicken noodle soup or the fried noodles. The price is also amazingly low (comparable to subway). Strongly recommended.
Best Vietnamese in YYC. They really are the best. Best shrimp salad rolls. All so good. Fast service, good prices.
We went to the downtown location on a Friday at around 5 pm and the place appeared deserted. I think there were only 3 or 4 tables being served. The service was awesome and very fast. The food was delicious!
Best Pho in Downtown. Excellent food here... smaller portions then typical Vietnamese establishments but it's perfect for me!

However they do not provide free refills of beverages, which has been quite dissappointing.
Apps. My girlfriend and I stopped by here for apps on a weeknight. The restaurant was full, but we were able to get a table. Their selection of food was interesting, and our selections were tasty. Their apps were inexpensive and large enough for a meal. The service quick, though we ended up waiting a while for our check.
Fantastic. Super friendly staff. We head there for work lunch every week or two. Like the Asian beers.
AMAZING.
Arrived on a busy Thursday lunch, we were greeted immediately, my dad asked for a "Fun" table and we were seated next to the window with a great view of the restaurant. I was so impressed with the service, food, ambiance, etc. This is one well oiled machine. They really know what they are doing here. I had #30 the spicy beef satay soup with rice noodles, comes with a side of bean sprouts. Did I mention the service was great?? it is the little things, like confirming my spice tolerance, and bringing tea in less than a minute after I ordered it, even though the place was full and rocking!!!

Oriental Phoenix is definitely a high class downtown Vitaminese Noodles 🍜 Soup Restaurant.
Very quiet and good for corporate people to have a nice lunch and talk about business.
I ordered the Classic Beef Noodles 🍜 Soup, it came in HOT 🔥 and with Great presentation.
The soup base is very tasty but not salty, I drank it all and not feel thirsty at all. Enjoyed the noodles soup a lot, and the quiet 🤫 alone time.
Will definitely come back!!
Love this place. I go there all the time with my family. I'm surprised it's not higher rated. Food and service is always excellent. They are also have very fast service. We go both to the downtown and 58th street locations and always have a good time.
Excellent food , and beautiful music and the volume is just right. I loved that music! Decorations are lovely. The waiter is friendly. I tried Sake for the 1st time , but I did not like it at all.😖🤣oh well, at least I tried something new. My friend and I had a lovely time😊
