So good! We ordered a pizza and made our own toppings: Italian sausage, onion, peppers and Garlic. It was a perfect treat on a crappy winter day.
I always love ordering from this place, but have moved outside of their range 3 years ago, so it is a rare treat now. The quality of the dough, sauce and ingredients is top notch. Keep in mind this is a greasier, North American style pizza with a relatively thick crust and lots of cheese, appropriate for a football game, movie night at home or after a laborious day of helping move a buddy. I love that this place is family run and on a convenient street (bow trail). My only criticism is that, on occasion, I have had bad customer service in the form of rudeness/impatience over the phone and slow delivery time. This would normally stop me from ordering again but their pizza is worth it.
Seriously delicious pizza! Cheezy, saucy, always piping hot, a great bready crust (crunchy outside/fluffy inside, not too thick not too thin) generous toppings, and vary affordable. The cheese always has that crunchy toasted top layer - SO DELICIOUS
This place reminds me of Starlite Restaurant & Bar near Ikea, which is a hole on the wall.
Why it is worth 5.0 rating? It offers excellent working man's pizzas.
Excellent greasy pizza with generous amount of cheese (Greek style?), tomato sauce, and grease. You shouldn't be ordering any other toppings except bacon, beef, ham, mushroom and green peppers.
The most greasy pizza I've ever had. The grease soaked pizza box ruined our coffee table, and that's a good thing. Its great value with the 2 for 1 deal and it's loaded with plenty of toppings and cheese. Just as delicious the next as leftovers too. I wouldn't recommend dine-in as they don't have tables but they do have a tv showing the news. Just be careful what you put the pizza on so you don't ruin any furniture.
Our favorite neighborhood pizza takout. Greek style with thick crust and lots of cheese. If I had to come up with a suggestion it would be to offer some extra ingredients. But what they do, they do well and at a fantastic price.
For a long time, A Pizza Plus was our preferred order-in pizza...then, it wasn't. We tried a lot of other places and then went back. One taste (OK, one smell!) and I really don't know why it stopped being our favourite!
Do yourself a favour and just order the 7-topping custom. One for you, one for the kids.
Warning: they get busy. Order early if you can and, pick up. The waiting area is really nothing to take a picture of but, your pizza will be steaming (literally) hot and sometimes delivery gets too long.
This is probably the best pizza that I have ever eaten. It is take out only. I happened to stop here after running a 10km roadrace. The pizza was fantastic. Inexpensive. I think it was the owner who was working behind the counter. I don't think I have ever seen anyone work so hard. I only had the Pepperoni Pizza, but it was AAA. I will definitely go back here again, whenever I am in Calgary.
Love this pizza! Just a little hole in the wall, but the pizza is incredible. There are always a ton of toppings and cheese and the crust is just right. Though they advertise 2 for 1, the prices are pretty high but well worth it!
We love ordering pizza from A Pizza Plus. They definitely don't scrimp on the toppings - so much so that we often eat it with a fork and knife. The pizza can be a bit soggy if you have toppings like pineapple or tomatoes, but I think it's due to the fact that it's a pan style. We eat here as a treat and enjoy it every time.
The name of the store does it absolute justice!
I am beyond thrilled that I found this spot tonight. From the time I called the store and spoke to them on the phone I knew it was going to be an amazing experience!
Big shout out to Al and George! They are beyond gentlemen and scholars at their craft. The passion they have really translates into the food they make because the pizza pie was top notch!

One word: THICK.
Their Greek style pizza is very generous with the toppings and the cheese. My husband and I did not realize their pizzas are sold in pairs so we ended up eating 'za for a week after our dinner, 🫣 but we realized this cannot be a regular occurrence for the sake of our diets. 😆
However, for the price point, you get good value for your money if you are feeding a family, or a group at gatherings or events.
I highly recommended Pizza Plus! My wife and I have been ordering their lasagna here since we started dating 10 years ago as our little date night routine and I can say that it’s my favourite lasagna in Calgary. The value for money is amazing and the family that owns & operates the business are super friendly and accommodating. We will forever be back for our lasagna for as long as they are open for business!

So...I grew up on Atlas Pizza which I always put on a pedestal...but let me tell you. This pizza is a serious contender for the best pizza in Calgary. The amount of cheese, quality of crust, and flavor of sauce is something that would take years to perfect. Honestly can't say enough about how good the quality and price is for A Pizza Plus. Thank you for your excellent quality and service!

This may look like your typical hole in the wall pizza place, but it’s much more than that. I continue to get my pizza from here for many reasons. The crust on this pizza is unlike anything I’ve eaten before. The family that operates the shop is very friendly and accommodating to everyone’s needs. You can’t forget that it’s buy one get one free pizza, this can’t be beat!
