Go you will not be disappointed, great space, friendly staff. Fantastic choices and quality is great
My favorite is the Tangerine Chicken, it is not on the menu but they will substitute the chicken for the beef. I get it with no greens.
I have been here a few times now. It is half a block from home, a great place to pick up to go on the way home. The quality of the food is getting consistently better and I have thoroughly enjoyed my last few visits. Love the Tangerine Beef is now a staple on the menu, fantastic choice. I also enjoy the pork and pineapple fried rice as well as the spring rolls. I got a half order of the spring rolls, not sure if its standard but they provided it without question when I asked.
Been here twice and I enjoy it! Tangerine beef is yummy. BBQ pork bao and garam masala fries were tasty. A few bucks more than I'd like to spend, but a nice clean new place with nice staff.
(After many visits, the best deal on the regular menu gotta be the pineapple and pork fried rice, you get lots of pineapples, pork, and rice! Great value!!)
An interesting idea of Asian street food prepared by a team of Caucasian men. It is an Indian, Thai, and Chinese restaurant all in one! Of course they don't have an extended menu for every cuisine, but I feel I can just walk into Foo anytime I want any of the above!! The place is comfy, friendly, and non-intrusive. It's basically fast food style that you can dine in. I tried the Szechuan spicy pork noodle that is on the "special" menu. It tastes good ... it's like a fusion style jar jar mein. I like it. Average portion, little bit pricy for Asian food. On another visit I tried the pad thai noodle which is delicious and also the fried sweet milk dessert on the "special" menu which is also very good. Overall all experiences at this place have been awesome!
Small place that was able to handle a very large crowd together. Food was hot and tasty. Had the seafood laksa which had lots of chunks of salmon, trout and shrimp. Portions are decent. Very small selection of wine but that isn't why one goes there. Heard everyone saying in the group how they liked their meal. Only one person didn't like her papaya salad but they exchanged it for something else without any issue.
This is one of the gaps in Calgarys food scene-approachable Asian fusion. Simple menu with roughly 15 choices, good variety of proteins, starches and flavours. Two of us split the soba noodles with tuna, pork belly with rice, and the chicken with rice. Flavours were great, the meats cooked well, nice portions of the proteins and creative. The only suggestion I have is to give a tad bit more rice/noodles. This is an Asian eatery after all. At $12 a plate this is a good deal considering they are in Mission.
Been here twice. The guys are awesome, really friendly and engaging. Food is made fresh. Kimchi fried rice the first time; the kimchi was great but I thought the rice could have been crispier and the chicken was moist but not highly seasoned 2.5/5. Caramel chicken the second time: amazing! Picture ginger beer crossed with buffalo wings. I will go back and try other things on their menu for sure.
This place works for me. Its a small space where you order at the front, take a seat and your meal is brought to your table. The menu is a list of different "bowls" including some regulars and specials. All three of us chose the special Tangerine Beef and agreed it was really good. Served with rice and veggies its a filling meal. I am already planning on getting some takeout.
Great food, nice people. The Braised Beef Soup on special was fantastic. Food is affordable, and quality ingredients are the highlight. Highly recommend Foo, and has tons of Gluten Free options if you are so inclined.
FOO is excellent. Friendly staff. I work across the street and I have been over for lunch (along with colleagues) about a half dozen times. Never had the same thing twice; excellent food.
A couple of things: take out portions are significantly smaller than if you stay in to eat. This has been consistent since it opened and I'm definitely not the only to comment on this. Second, if it is apparent that customers are dining together, maybe ensure their meals come out at the same time.
Small but significant details. Otherwise, it's awesome!!!
This place is excellent - enough said. The quality and appeal of these dishes truly sets Foo apart from the competition. Their take on staple "Asian" street food is an example of both innovation and flawless execution.
We came for the great food and left with amazing stories! Spices and fragrances from Asia make every bite scrumptious. The braised beef in particular falls to pieces, as will you when you eat here!
Bought some masala fries! They were great! Excellent customer service :)
At first blush we thought it was kinda pricey. Some of the food was ok. The pork belly was excellent. Some of the best I've ever had. The fried rice was super salty but maybe we should have kept the pineapple in. The Pho was definitely not worth getting. Especially for $14. The butter chicken was excellent and really quite flavorful. We would go on a date night as a couple, but would being our family here again.
Every item on the menu is delicious! I highly recommend their sweet and sour pork belly. Staff is always welcoming and friendly. Love this place!
I stopped here after finding it randomly on google maps. The customer service was excellent, the employee answered any of our questions about the food, spiciness, drinks, etc. The staff/cooks politely asked how our meal was half-way through which was great to see they cared. It's a great restaurant if you're looking for a quick bite to eat. Limited capacity seating only due to covid. Music wasn't blaring so you can take a date and still have conversation. I'd order here in the future.
Great service with friendly staff. There is a good amount of seating although harder for groups of 7+. The food comes fresh, piping hot and quick. The portion sizes are good as well and filling :) a good selection of food choices without feeling too overwhelmed. The food type is infused with asian cusine and works out very well.
Sweet and sour pork was incredibly flavourful, but the sour is very strong and might be unpleasant for some. The texture of the pork was wonderful, tender yet crispy, and the rice + asparagus were great. I can't wait to try more of the menu.
Update: just tried the Tangerine Beef and Chicken Bao and they are also amazing! I have also tried their green curry but it wasn't as great as the rest of the menu in my opinion.
