Great pub with a great atmosphere also has pool tables so would recommend this place to everyone
Food was amazing. Portions are a really good size. My husband ordered the steak sandwich well done and usually at other places it comes out anywhere from med rare to medium. This one was perfectly well done and he said it was really tasty. I had the fish and chips. I ordered an extra piece cause most places have small pieces. Not at The Coach and Horse. The pieces were HUGE. Totally could have done with one. As for the beer, nice and cold and a good selection. The waitress was great. Very attentive and friendly. All in all, a great night. Love it! My favourite neighbourhood pub to come hang out. Friendly environment! Great patio in the summer time as well. Awesome prices, nice service.
Came here for wing night so can only comment on them. The place was packed and service was still great. Server came around quickly, food came out fast and we were checked on often. Long Island iced tea was good, not too strong but could still taste the liquor. Ordered the Greek wings and mild wings. Wings were meaty, cooked nicely and had a good amount of sauce/spice on them. Planning on coming here on a Thursday to try out their mussels.
Above average pub food. The food here is very very good. On this visit we had the pierogis to start. They were very good. The broccoli soup and buffalo chicken sandwich as my main. Very yummy. The service is very good as well. I find the pub to be very dark. The lights are normally on a bit too low. But the food is always very good.
It's a reliable place to go for us for amazing wings on Wednesday nights. I would say it's one of the very few best wings in Calgary. The wings are always so juicy. The dry ones are crunchy on the outside and soft and tasty on the inside.
Food here is good! They have breakfast on weekends which is good. Servers are nice and it's a nice atmosphere..can just get a little noisy at times. Only real downside is they do not take debit which can be a little inconvenient.
They've updated their menu and you can get a side of decent mac and cheese instead of a salad at no extra charge! Maybe not the healthiest... But they've also got fabulous caesars so it's a great place to go hung over. Their breakfast menu has some unique dishes on it as well.

Mixed feelings. I have come here many times as I live nearby and have had mixed experiences. While the staff is very friendly, they are extremely slow and must be constantly reminded of things (cutlery, caddy of sauces, napkins etc).
I once ordered a RARE steak that came to me 25 minutes later well done....this is unacceptable as a rare steak can be prepared in a very short time and was extremely over cooked, the mac and cheese is very flavourless and the cheese tastes artifical. The caesars are mediocre...garnished usually with an unwashed celery stalk and no flavor.
They do however have amazing specials, 3.95 steak sandwiches on Mondays...if only they knew their steak temperatures. What I do really like about this place is the union jack platter! For $35 you get waffles fries, vegatables, a half order of nachos, calamari, potsitckers, perogies etc and can substitute any of these things for yam fries, potato skins etc the list goes on. The platter is HUGE can easily be eaten by 6 or more people and it really is delicious and comes with about 6 different dips, definitely worth it! And they have a very nice patio and even have swinging tables! I would come back for the platter and any of the appetizers or beer, but not anything else.
Fantastic Bangers & Mash. Have eaten at The Coach on numerous occasions and sampled a fair selection of the menu. Pleased to say I've never been disappointed with any of my appy or meal selections, but the standout here has always been the rather unique serving of bangers and mash. Spolumbo's sausages, mashed potatoes, grilled vegetables, onion gravy and what makes it unique...a helping of sauerkraut with crumbled bacon! Strangest side ever for bangers and mash, but it's surprisingly wonderful and works a treat! Check it out!
Good food, good service, great atmosphere with lots of tv's, drink prices are a little high though.
Love it!! Food above par, service awesome, pizza best in Calgary. My issue is WHY??!! Do they allow table reservations on a Friday/saturday. Ridiculous!!. Apart from that, 5 stars!
