I’m not really sure why it’s taken me so long to try dosas… I’ve always driven by House of Dosa on Kingsway but never stopped by. Well, one day I decided on trying Chettinad Dosa Palace in Burnaby, near the Safari Snack House. I dropped by around noon on a weekday in late October and it was rather quiet although some other diners started to arrive a little later.
I had a chance to stop by here the other day and when it come to food, I am very picky. I love Indian cuisine and thought to try this place out, as I have heard about it a lot by some of my friends. Well, as soon as I walked in, I was greeted by a very friendly waiter by the name of Dylan. He saw me to my seat and was very patient as I like to take my time with the menu. When the food arrived I was not disappointed. The portion sizes were great, I didn't have to ask for any refills and their mango Lassi was on point to say the least. I recommend this place and look forward to making this place as a regular spot.
i went there with my friends and we tried fish pakoras and masala dosa.The food was ok and service was good.But i guess they should add more flavors and even the service can be better too.
I remember getting really good dosas here in the past, but the Mysore masala and masala dosas my friend and I ordered were disappointing. The dosa outsides were good, but the stuffing was very bland and made me wish I hadn't come!

Dosa是印度一種以大米麵糊和黑扁豆為材料發酵而成的煎餅。做法首先將一勺Dosa麵糊倒在平鍋上，平均鋪成一個圓形的薄餅，當餅皮煎成咖啡色時，表示料理完成。由於Dosa本身味道單調，所以多會搭配醬料或餡料一起吃。沒有餡料的Dosa通常會配搭辣醬（Sambar）、酸辣醬（Chutney） 、豆瓣醬（Dal）等來吃。另外，Dosa亦可以放入多元口味的餡料，其中Masala Dosa最為人所知，內餡包含馬鈴薯、洋蔥和香料等。
Dosa在印度就像蔥抓餅在台灣一樣普遍，印度處處可以吃到Dosa，但以南部省份的泰米爾納度（Tamil Nadu）最著名，其他有印度種族的國家，例如馬來西亞和新加坡也有Dosa，但名字則稱為Thosai。今天光顧這家印度餐廳以印度南部泰米爾納度省（Tamil Nadu）的城市Chettinad命名，更誇稱自己為Dosa Palace，應該是一間印度煎捲餅專門店吧！

Long wait but.... EXCELLENT FOOD and FRIENDLY service!!! Ordered chicken biryani, vegetarian onion dosa, and their creamy, tasty, and delicious butter chicken. Would definitely come back again.
Tasty Experience!. PROS:
- food was good, nice & spicy (not bland)
- panni puri & dosas we ordered were yummy
- service & location was ok
CONS:
- chaat was not that good (too many wafers & not enough potatoes & chickpeas)
- samosa chaat had mini samosas
Come for Dosa for sure!. Dosas here are prepared excellently....texture is light and soft enough etc. Vegetarian ones however are a little/not a lot more expensive than you'd find in Surrey/Scott Road or South Vancouver. "Condiments" that come with it could be fresher I guess but I like them. Everything else is just okay and can be too salty. Samosas are very small, don't bother with papadam as it seems store bought and usually stale, service is very friendly, sometimes the wait for take away is kind of long.
Delicious Butter Chicken. Clean, simple restaurant. Friendly waiters. Enthusiastic chef.
Only ever taken out from this place. Dishes come with rice and naan. Their butter chicken is my favorite. Glass bottled coke and sprite available.
Lots of parking. If going west on Canada Way, don't block traffic during rush hour trying to turn left. Turn left on Sperling and come around.
Best South Indian food I have had in a while. The place had a very homely feel to it. The service was courteous and prompt. The food was the best we had in a long time. The sambhar was especially amazing.
