I was craving ramen the other day. But I didn't want to go downtown. I've developed a strange distaste for busy, crowded places (downtown being one of them.) . I would much rather spend my days frolicking around my neighbourhood (living in the 'burbs definitely suits me.) #grandmalife . Since travelling all the way downtown for Santouka wasn't an option, I decided to go for some... SUBURBAN RAMEN!!
So off I went...to Kenzo Japanese Noodle House, the nearest ramen place!! Santouka it is not...but hey, I'll take it (better than nothing!) I ordered the largest size available (their King of Kings ramen) cause let's be real...a regular bowl of ramen ain't enough to satiate this appetite!! (It still wasn't enough, I was still hungry afterwards...so much for spending $16 on ramen!)
I love their ramen! I tried most of the ramen places in vancouver area and lower mainland, and this is my favorite ramen restaurant. I don't find the ramen noodle soggy at all. The service was nice too. Just based on food, I want to give them 5/5.
Tasty ra-men.. Delicious yakitori... I could say that my fave here is the yakitori sauce.. even discussed it with my boyfriend....Just to try and figure out what kind of ingredients are in the sauce.... (Yeah, we're serious about it!!!😂😂😂)
My go-to place every time I'm craving a dolsot bibimbap. They're close and reasonably-priced. Also, their spicy agedashi tofu is a nice appetizer.
The king ramen $12ish dollars. Worth it. So big !!! Either way this with a friend or come really hungry as its bigger bowl than all the other ramens here. Otherwise the place and the food here is deliscious. Not just ramen. They have lots of Korean options too.
I really really like this place !
Great food taste and young women waitress service was nice !
I cant for get her smile and nice taste
Korean owned ramen shop, broth and noodles are both very basic but it will do.
The place had a good atmosphere and the server was also really nice. Also the food was really worth the price. It was the best ramen place i went to in vancouver. The ones in downtown are too greasy and heavy.also they have other items in the menu like korean rice bbq. I would definitely go back to eat here!
Good noodle soup. We have eaten here about a dozen times. Always order a #5 and #8 soup. Always hot and tasty. Noodle consistency is very good. Can't beat a big bowl of noodle soup for the price. Quick service too!
I still return to enjoy a hot bowl of noodles even after I moved out of Burnaby. Just like others, I thought this was a Japanese run place, but after knowing it was Korean run, I don't try to compare it with the authentic Japanese ramen. I have to say their noodles do satisfy my craving for a hot bowl of noodle. They serve good Korean roasted barley tea. My other regular item is their gyoza, nice crispy skin. Kimchi is also a good plus.
