Your standard, mom and pop owned Chinese restaurant. Double One has been around for a very long time now! The food is nothing super super special, but it's a decent option for Chinese food in the Heights.
Decided to order the lunch combo #1 which consists of chicken chow mein and sweet and sour pork for $10.00 the amount of food was filling enough the chow mein could have been more crispy,overall the food was average along with the service. i would recommend this place for price they charged
While the inside of Double One isn't anything special, it's spacious and comfortable. Their lunch specials can't be beat. Their young chow fried rice and noodle dishes (chicken & mushroom chow mein, singapore style rice noodle) and deep fried squid are all very tasty. Definitely a great place for family style dining.
Came here with my family. It was a good visit. The flavours of each dish not too salty and not bland. Came for lunch and had their specials the portion was okay size, there is enough to share and try. Nothing fancy just ordinary worth going back to.
I miss double one again. It is restaurant which drives me to visit more and more frequently.

Great food, large dishes totalling 10 dishes (duck skin pancake & duck meat lettuce wrap) with free soap and dessert. You won't believe the awesome price.
Deelish!. Their food is amazing! You'd think it would be a knockoff because of the low price they charge but you'll be surprised. Unlike other Chinese restaurants they load up the plate with noodles or rice, Double One gives a right ratio of rice and met/vegetables. In some cases we even got more meat/veggies than the rice itself. Their dishes are reasonably priced and they have a wide variety to choose from. We've be coming here for years and we were never disappointed. Highly recommended!
Been going here forever. Its not the best chinese food you will ever eat.
But it is clean, and it is cooked pretty well.
The prices I find for dinner are ridiculous, this place is geared towards the pockets of the older crowd and you can tell by being there for dinner.
Service is great and friendly most of the time, if it's busy well... good luck.
Delivery though is so fast!
All there food is fine. No risk taking needed, you will enjoy what you eat, but you probably won't marvel at it.

I only order Chinese food from here. It's always delicious and I order the same thing everytime and they are always consistent with the quality. There is also so much food per dish! The sweet and sour chicken and beef with green beans are to die for 😋 plus if you pick up your food they will give you 10% off!!
As usually a very exquisite culinary and great service . Dishes are with generous portions and very affordable .
We had BBQ duck, Singapore noodles, corn and chicken soup and vegetables with roasted almonds .
It is a place to be visited very often … the menu is so delicious and with a great variety .

This place is a classic Chinese restaurant! Old school and so good! Very extensive menu with a ton of interesting selections! Very friendly and prompt service! There are a few seats for dining inside during this time of Covid protocol! Call ahead and book one if you want to guarantee eating in. We enjoyed the Dinner for 3 and added an order of Ginger Beef and a small Hot and Sour soup...for my hubby! Good size portions! Lots of flavour! Definitely worth a visit! We will be back!
Honestly been going to this place for over 10 years. Love the owner and staff. The food is absolutely amazing and affordable. This place gives you the at home comfy feeling. You gotta eat the fried Squid, sweet and sour, 3 meat chow mean, young chow fried rice, and spicy porkchop.
This is a great little gem in the Burnaby Heights neighbourhood. It’s family owned and operated. Great deal for take out as they have decent “Canadian” style Chinese food and you get 10% off for take out. Prices are fair and food is good. Wonton soup is tasty for sure.
Our new go to......I wish we found this place 4 years ago. We did delivery. The food was excellent and not at all greasy. It was hot when it was delivered and the delivery dude was very nice as was the guy who took our order. Will definitely be ordering again.
