I don't know what some people are talking about. We went around 11pm on a Friday. It was packed but we were seated very quickly and served just as fast. The dessert came to us quickly and was definently worth the price it was so delicious. Some people forget that these desserts are pricey because the are handmade with quality ingredients, unlike most restaurants sadly. I will return and will also recommend this place to everyone I know.

This is definitely the place to satisfy your sweet tooth. The waffles are light and fluffy with the right amount of toppings. And the Point Blanc was a white chocolate lovers delight. I'd definitely return for more.
If you got a sweet tooth this is definitely a place to check out. They have a wide variety of things to choose from. It's sometimes hard to pick one. Service is okay.
Good food and better hours!. My favourite caffe demetre location! Always fast service, upbeat atmosphere, and late night hours. Was where my friends and I went for homemade ice cream all through university. Definitely worth the trip!
Amazing Desserts!. This place has amazing desserts and hot drinks! We ordered the apple pie with ice cream, it was delicious! The hot chocolate and hot apple cider were also very appetizing. There are only two things that we didn't like about this place. Firstly, the service. We had to walk up to the front of the counter, and a server didn't come until about ten minutes later. Also, when he came, he wasn't very friendly or attentive. Secondly, the price. The price of the items were very high. We found the prices to be too high, especially considering you can get something just as wonderful for a cheaper price elsewhere. I have to admit, the desserts and drinks are wonderful therefore, I would definitely come back just to eat and drink!
Love the homemade ice cream n crepe combo! Tiramisu is the fav. Agree with the other reviewer, environment is a little too loud for unwinding or a romantic date.

I love the Brownie Points cheesecake and Stormy Weather (espresso meets milkshake.)
Brownie Points is Caramel Fudge Brownie Cheesecake served with Cocoa Chanel Ice Cream (French dark ice cream loaded to the hilt with rich brownies and Oreo pieces) and butter caramel sauce.
It's a deliciously decadent dessert that eats like a meal!
Then I washed this deliciously decadent dessert down with a creamy coffee concoction, called Stormy Weather.
Stormy Weather is Blended iced coffee made with: Honey Vanilla Ice Cream, espresso, butter caramel, whipped cream, and a yummy chocolate topper.
Make sure you go to Demetres when you're VERY HUNGRY, and prepare yourself for pure joy, a happy mouth, and full belly.
Late night dessert for my wife and me. This was a great experience. The staff was very nice and welcoming. Knowledgeable about their desserts. Service was quick and we had our dessert quickly. Our dessert was incredible. The “Pomme Pilot”. The Apple portion warm and sweet, caramel sauce and ice cream. Atmosphere was great. Would highly recommend this to anyone.

We went for dessert. Very clean and friendly staff. Quick service. The price is higher then a regular ice cream place but you get quality food and large portions. Well worth to try once and awhile.

We'd not been for 3+ years...for some reason but very glad that we stopped by. Definitely enjoyed the many changes. The menu is varied to suit many ages, choices, interests from a light cone to a crepe or waffle "meal".

The best place for people with sweet tooth like me. Its big servings and definitely shareables. Worth it every scoop of sweetness. Total experience calls for a come back with the whole gang.
I think over the years as the menus changed and they became more popular, the quality of the food decreased and price per item has increased. It is always busy no matter when you go but the service is still prompt and great. They do have a variety of options and it is still a great dessert place if you are in the area!
Phenomenal!! I’ve yet to go to such a delicious dessert place in all of Canada (I haven’t explored much). We got the Face Pomme and the Moo La La. Both were amazing and filling. The portions are great the staff and ambience was BOMB. Great music and vibes, family friendly or even for a date night.
This puts Cacao 70 to shame. 3x over.
