It's a deliciously decadent dessert that eats like a meal!
Then I washed this deliciously decadent dessert down with a creamy coffee concoction, called Stormy Weather.
Stormy Weather is Blended iced coffee made with: Honey Vanilla Ice Cream, espresso, butter caramel, whipped cream, and a yummy chocolate topper.
Make sure you go to Demetres when you're VERY HUNGRY, and prepare yourself for pure joy, a happy mouth, and full belly.

Late night dessert for my wife and me. This was a great experience. The staff was very nice and welcoming. Knowledgeable about their desserts. Service was quick and we had our dessert quickly. Our dessert was incredible. The “Pomme Pilot”. The Apple portion warm and sweet, caramel sauce and ice cream. Atmosphere was great. Would highly recommend this to anyone.

We went for dessert. Very clean and friendly staff. Quick service. The price is higher then a regular ice cream place but you get quality food and large portions. Well worth to try once and awhile.

We'd not been for 3+ years...for some reason but very glad that we stopped by. Definitely enjoyed the many changes. The menu is varied to suit many ages, choices, interests from a light cone to a crepe or waffle "meal".

I think over the years as the menus changed and they became more popular, the quality of the food decreased and price per item has increased. It is always busy no matter when you go but the service is still prompt and great. They do have a variety of options and it is still a great dessert place if you are in the area!

Phenomenal!! I’ve yet to go to such a delicious dessert place in all of Canada (I haven’t explored much). We got the Face Pomme and the Moo La La. Both were amazing and filling. The portions are great the staff and ambience was BOMB. Great music and vibes, family friendly or even for a date night.
This puts Cacao 70 to shame. 3x over.

I don't know what some people are talking about. We went around 11pm on a Friday. It was packed but we were seated very quickly and served just as fast. The dessert came to us quickly and was definently worth the price it was so delicious. Some people forget that these desserts are pricey because the are handmade with quality ingredients, unlike most restaurants sadly. I will return and will also recommend this place to everyone I know.

My family have always been a big fan of your restaurant, my elderly parents and nephews loved the dessert and the ambience of the place; specially then, before the change of ownership/managent up until last night.
Not only did the coffee was not hot and tasted awful; that's forgivable...it happens.
But your Southeast Asian looking waitress (Vietnamese or Chinese?) was indifferent and snooty. That was around 7 pmish last Tuesday night.
So we just ordered coffee... didn't even finish it, disgusting...and left to go to next door, the friendlier and more professionally staffed William's Cafè and enjoyed immensely the food and the services including their free WiFi.
For the first we didn't give a tip to your staff.
By the way, we might not be coming back again.

After being customers here for close to 15 years, we will never return. At 3pm on a Thursday, when the place was empty, we were turned away because they would not allow outside food in to feed our baby. Even though our bills are usually $50 plus. Very sad as the food is great. Sorry we inconvenienced the restaurant with a child. We were, however, welcomed with open arms next door at Williams.

Haven't been for a number of yrs. Tried to order the carrot cake torte and was told they don't have it and the server even said he doesnt know why it's even on their menu. Saddened that all the different cakes and cheesecakes have been replaced mainly by waffles and crepes. The brownie cheesecake I did order was good, as was the coffee. Just wasn't what I went in there for. Disappointing actually from what they used to be.

Atmosphere was nice and seated quickly. Servers great but desserts were not very tasty. For the price of the food I think it could have been better than what my 7 year old can produce. Would go again but only order a beverage.

I took my 12 year old grandson and we thoroughly enjoyed our choice of waffle and crepe with the toppings and ice cream. I just wish it were possible to have the option of smaller portions, as my grandson was only able to eat half of his. They were absolutely delicious though.

Stumbled upon this location while having lunch in the same plaza. Extremely disappointed and over priced. If you're craving a dessert for a good cost I'd go next door to Williams. Only ppl sitting in the cafe and service was shit.

This is definitely the place to satisfy your sweet tooth. The waffles are light and fluffy with the right amount of toppings. And the Point Blanc was a white chocolate lovers delight. I'd definitely return for more.

Good Sweets, Shite Service time. I go here often (whenever I can afford it) and I always enjoy the desserts which are usually so sweet that I wind up taking home leftovers. I like their coffee, which is my staple drink with desserts. Honestly the only bad thing about this place is that the service time does take forever and a half. I think we all understand what reasons would be given to us for why the service time is so SLLOOOOOWWWW, but really can we just add another 2 staff members to the normal shift runs? Just one more server and one more kitchen aid? I'm sure the speed would increase then. "Oh its too expensive" Dude! Make the monetary sacrifice and the increase in customer attendance will go up I'm sure if you just speed the f-ing service up!<br/><br/>And redecorate in there, its filthy and tacky. You want the classy scene to get in there? Then make it classy and not like the basement of my lonely uncles house where he drinks, cries and looks at porn.

Great desserts and professional service. The desserts were amazing and although we were at first brought the wrong crepe, our server acted immediately and professionally to make if right. I would definitely recommend this place and Mark as your server.

If you're interested in eating a nice dessert but waiting forever this is the place for you!<br/><br/>Want a refill on your water? Ask before your finished because they'll take their time. <br/><br/>Speak to the manager? He'll come up with excuses, leave to check the cameras, and then give you a small gift certificate. <br/><br/>For a place that's been open for as long as it has I expected a lot more. Every time I go in the service is ridiculously slow. <br/><br/>It's also very dated; colourful tables and tacky carpet. <br/><br/>They consider a milkshake a meal so you'll get it at the same time as your actual meal. The manager won't hesitate to use this excuse either. <br/><br/>The servers do not care about the customers which is why it takes forever to get anything, including water. I suggest training your staff to actually care about their clients, maybe they won't leave them sitting for 30 minutes at a time.

The food is great, however, services need to improve. At least common courtesy. Hopefully, today was just a hiccup and service isn't like that all the time because I love their desserts but the ambience also creates a perfect balance. Better service!

Good food and better hours!. My favourite caffe demetre location! Always fast service, upbeat atmosphere, and late night hours. Was where my friends and I went for homemade ice cream all through university. Definitely worth the trip!

Meh.... Love the food, however every time I've ever visited the cafe, I've gotten terrible and slow service.. quite disappointing because the dark chocolate cake is to die for!

Amazing Desserts!. This place has amazing desserts and hot drinks! We ordered the apple pie with ice cream, it was delicious! The hot chocolate and hot apple cider were also very appetizing. There are only two things that we didn't like about this place. Firstly, the service. We had to walk up to the front of the counter, and a server didn't come until about ten minutes later. Also, when he came, he wasn't very friendly or attentive. Secondly, the price. The price of the items were very high. We found the prices to be too high, especially considering you can get something just as wonderful for a cheaper price elsewhere. I have to admit, the desserts and drinks are wonderful therefore, I would definitely come back just to eat and drink!
