Abbotsford's best-kept secret...very nice hole-in-the-wall restaurant. Great food and friendly staff...the founder is hilarious, a curmudgeonly retiree who essentially performs stand-up comedy from the cash register.
Is O'Neils home cooking gone now or will there be a different location? The world's best sweet potato buns in the world made the best breakfast sandwich I have ever had!!!! ��

Diner from vancouver. My brother goes here all the time and kept on raving about it. He finally took me today and I had the Classic. It was as good as my brother said it would be! The sweet potato bun was delicious! The owner was very friendly. I would definitely recommend this place to all of my friends in Vancouver if they ever were headed out this way.

The food is fantastic! Very simple menu of soups and sandwiches and everything is awesome quality. You also can't beat the prices. Went there at two thirty in the afternoon and the place was packed. Keep up the good work!
Great Surprise. We went for lunch today and were surprised to find that he has been in business for 3 years and we didn't know about it. Great food. Limited menus but everything is absolutely fresh. Unbelievable sandwiches. We'll go back for sure. Most people that came in knew to owner - a real good sign.
Oneils is best in town. I have lived in Abbotsford my whole life and Oneils is hands down the best food I have ever eaten. All his ingredients are fresh, local and preservative free and boy you can tell. I do not think I will ever go to any other restaurant for lunch in this town ever again. Also great prices and service. I cannot recommend anything else as highly as this diner.

This place has top notch home cooking style food, low prices and no frills. Expect to wait awhile during lunchtime as this place really fills up. I dont think anyone has ever left hungry, portions are large. This is the #1 place to eat in abbotsford!
I went to Oneills with a couple of friends. I didn't expect much, as its in a questionable area. Well....I was completely surprised. It was the best sandwiches I've ever had. Fresh bread made everyday, with fresh toppings. The potato bread is absolutely to die for. The owners are very friendly. Just talking about Oneills is making me hungry.
Best cheap diner-dive type restaurant in Abby. Everything is $5.99 or less, and if you want a hot meal the 2nd is half price. Deadly breakfast sandwiches, and the owners are friendly. All fresh stuff on a minimal non complicated menu.
Place is located up the little side hill from Abby Liqour Barn and Fraser Valley Inn. If you were in the liqour barn parking lot looking up the hill you are looking at O Neils...
Potentially the best breakfast sandwich I’ve ever had, just order the classic and don’t faff around about the menu. Socially conscious owner keeps me going back. Don’t expect fancy or frills… you get a great sandwich at an excellent price!
Classic is a delicious breakfast sandwich. I found Oscar the grouch at the till to be entertaining but I can see how some are scared away by his aggressive tone. Make sure to make as many changes to your order as possible to get his wheels turning. Will return next time I’m in Abby!
Ignore the complaints about the owner, he is fantastic. People are so used to bland, robotic, corporate customer service that they are offended by a person being human. Definitely stop by and enjoy the show.
Food is solid, buns are great and the coffee is...bad... it's really bad but everything else is good.
This place is awesome!! Everything on the menu is great. I came here the first time because of the hilarious 1-star reviews. The owner definitely doesn't deserve the grief of the bad reviews. He knows what heis serving and it's all great.
Hands down the best breakfast sandwich I’ve ever had. When ever I order the classic I make sure to get two. Worth every penny and worth the drive. When ever I’m in town, I always make a stop for the classic.
I went for a quick meal, and tried the Veggie sandwich. Absolutely delicious. Great bread, toasted and fresh vegetables in perfect equation. I will be back to try other options. Really good prices, also.
The classic is the best breakfast sandwich in town and arguably out there! It’s bang for your buck with the homemade buns. The atmosphere is nice and amazing. The owner is the realist man you’ll ever encounter. He may seem a little scary to some, but as along as your respectful he’s just fine!

I have been a patron for over 6 years, Vern is as real as it gets when it comes to personality and his food. Best breakfast sandwich I've ever had. Last time I went there he hooked up a full plate of black forest ham for my Aussie. Will always continue to support Oneils as long as I'm in BC!
