Love this location. Great food and great service. It will be a favourite to take my grands out to eat. Love that it still has menu items from when I used to work at the ABC.
The staff is so polite!! And the food is great!!!
I remember when this restaurant was ABC Country Restaurant. My dad and sister often dined here in the 1990s. Now, the food is similar and still very good, but it is scandalously expensive (3.59$ for a coffee? Seriously?). The The W/C is not very clean and does not have enough capacity for the size of the restaurant. They let a party budge ahead of us in the line which we were waiting in for 10 minutes despite a reservation. All in all, somewhere I would recommend mainly for special occasions.
Tastes like home cooking to me. Was the perfect place to go on a somewhat rainy day. Location is across the street from the Best Western hotel and is a really good choice. (Don't be deterred by its simplicity). Service was friendly, played games while we were waiting, booths were comfortable... Nothing wrong with country cooking.
A great place for good family fare. If you're looking for Mennonite food this is the place to go. I've been going here for years and though the service is sometimes slow the food is always delicious.
Love it. Great comfort food, sausage and perogies! YUM, I also love the cute old couples here. My grandmother and I love this place as well. Big wait times for peak hours as mentioned in another post, but I think its worth it. :)
Sunday brunch buffet is AMAZING! From the perfectly poached bennys to the salads and desserts, everything we tried was perfection
Good atmosphere, lots of cute old people there socializing and on conservative dates. Expect huge lineups at peak hours. Solid comfort food. Pulled pork sandwich is good and so is farmer sausage soup. Desserts good too! Do the peanut butter pie.
When you need a family meal. I love ABC because it's a family restaurant. They offer those home cooked classics that you can't help but crave, and yet have kept up with the times offering Vegan and Gluten free selections.
I adore going in and ordering a 1/2 benny with delicious farmer sausage or popping in for some home-made pie.
GF Friendly. Go-to place for breakfast with friends! They serve Rempel's farmer sausage which is gluten free and so delicious. They also offer gluten free pancakes. I usually go all out with eggs, hash browns, farmers sausage and pancakes. It adds up since they charge extra for GF pancakes but well worth it!
No better breakfast restaurant. L love it here service is good, food is good
Good food, good service and a great, quaint (and very clean) place. I have been here many times and always enjoy it. It's not a place for a romantic dinner but if you want good food at a decent price you won't be disappointed. It can be busy at lunch and parking can be a tad full, but generally not a big issue.
I had the Butter chicken platter which was on the milder side but the taste was quite delicious. The pakoras were a bit spicier and was well prepared. The naan was what I believe to be prepackaged but warmed and good. The servings are large and reasonable priced. My mother had the fish and shrimp platter she was thrilled by the seafood but underwhelmed by the fries. As always everyone's taste buds experience things differently so please take any of my reviews with a grain of salt.
I really enjoyed this place. The food was really good albeit small in portion size. It was expensive but the ladies there were really hardworking and friendly. I met a gentleman outside named Brad who works there and Id say the stop at Rickys was worth that interaction alone.
So stop by, relax, eat, tip accordingly, and if your lucky, Brad will say hi to you.
I really enjoy the Ricky's Country Restaurant chain. I find the atmosphere to be family style. I'm not a fan of their all day grill locations, but the Country Restaurant is fantastic. At this location they had some unique decor including an old fashioned wood burning stove. The food was great. My only criticisms are that the Yorkshire pudding which was very dry and burnt tasting. The "crusty roll" was actually dry and brittle on the inside. Other than that, a great place to dine!
Visited a longtime friend the other night. We had farmer sausage soup and pie. Both of us were very pleased with our meals, good quality homemade food. I highly recommend the homemade soups, you can even buy containers to go. The server was attentive but let us keep chatting. We will be back.
Excellent service! Warm and friendly waitress who was very helpful with a peanut allergy and made sure everything my family and I requested was available. The decor is absolutely adorable and the food is wonderful! My Mom had the borscht soup and said it's the best she's had in awhile!
