This little gem came highly recommended and it did not disappoint. There were four of us at our table, one of them Korean, one from China, and my partner and I from rural Manitoba, and there was no food left in the Korean barbecue skillets when we were done. Our table ordered one chicken dish, one pork, one beef, and one tofu for me, the gluten free vegan. I was thrilled that they could accommodate my dietary issues and preferences. We will definitely be back. Fresh hearty food, beautifully presented. The wine was good too. Quaint and cozy little place. Good service. Check it out if you haven't already done so.

the atmosphere was wonderful, very cozy but not cramped. the menu had a good spread of korean, japanese and western options and the food was delicious! i got the chicken apple sandwich and my friend got the korean bbq skillet; both were generously portioned for the price. my only complaint was that it appeared to be one man working the front and kitchen and several customers came in after us so he was busy with them. we would have liked to get dessert too, but after an hour of waiting for him to come back and check on us we decided to leave. i’d love to visit again so hopefully next time we’ll be able to try the bingsu like we wanted!
First time, I came the service was warm and very friendly, the room was cute, inviting and unique. Food was mediocre, we both ordered a breakfast plate. Nothing special, just a few combinations that didn't work. Two years later, I was convinced to try again. Service was so professional and attentive, and the ambience cool, just like before. This time, I ordered the salmon and rib skillets. Food was very well prepared, hot and flavourful. Best Korean ribs I've had. Friends loved their breakfast and wrap. Give this place a try - better than a chain restaurant.
Food was Okay. But I think, they’re a little under staff. They only have one staff for everything. I wonder if she’s the cook too! Lol hehehe but the food is okay. The dessert is great!
Had the beef bulging. Loved it. Generous portions and the flavour was incredible. Beef was so tender. The restaurant is so cute and well decorated. One wall has chalkboard paint where they have a lot of their menu. Love the tea cups and teapots that decorate the shelves. Con: service when i was there was super slow and disorganized. Better that others there. Ps. Skip the dishes was there 4 times while we were there. That would be a good option

Wow I love the lemon tree with its quirky decor and really delicious food that is reasonably priced. I had the spicy pork with rice and a Diet Coke in a colourful bottle that I'd never seen before and as a lunch special only cost $12.00 where else could you eat for this cheap. The staff are really nice and accommodating and I will definitely be back for more at my new favourite restaurant.

Came here after church with my wife and a friend. It's always nice to find a restaurant that is open early on Sundays. Restaurant was super quiet when we arrived, we were greeted promptly and given a choice of table to sit at. We noticed a very extensive tea selection written right on the wall along with several specials.
Wife ordered the spicy seafood pasta and I ordered the hamburger egg skillet. I found the combinations really interesting. My skillet had a side of stir fried Shanghai thick noodle, rice, French fries, Kimchi and a hamburger steak. It was a kaleidoscope of Chinese, Korean and western flavours. It all tasted alright, but something about it threw me off. I have to say the same for my wife's pasta. It was actually pasta in a spicy Korean haemul jigae broth. Alone, the broth was very flavourful, but something about having it with spaghetti is once again somewhat odd. Soup is simply too runny to coat spaghetti. The pasta was bland while eating and after eating the pasta, you're left with a very intense broth that is almost too intense on its own.
My wife and I will definitely come back for tea and dessert as well as come back for something not quite so exotic. I do believe the food is good, and will give them another try.
I happened upon Cafe Lemon Tree more by chance than design. Visiting a parishioner in the area I took a look around the strip mall as I waited for a bus. Cafe Lemon Tree looked intriguing so I made a note to visit the next time I was out that way. One of the first things you notice when you enter is the large collection of tea pots. They are stacked on wood shelves in behind and around the counter. It reminds me of a somewhat subdued version of Dwarf No Cachette. Another thing you notice is that there are novelty salt and pepper shakers on each table. On my first visit my shakers were a little disturbing as you can see in the picture below.
I was here yesterday with a friend and quite enjoyed the cutesy/kitschy atmosphere. It is definitely unique in that there are Korean dishes on the menu along with western baked goods, teas and waffles. My friend and I both had a salad as we are eating light, and I really liked the crispy salmon salad I had, and I liked that it had berries and a variety of lettuce and kale, and no cheese in sight. The salmon was almost like salmon skin, because I didn't taste meat, just the crispy batter and a burst of salmon flavour you usually get from the skin. The service was good and polite. I'll be back to try a waffle and some tea at some point on a cheat day for my diet.
Cute small place although food is good, nothing extra special. Honey bread is the bomb 😁 Service wise is pleasant. Portion sizes are okay too. Over all, I am satisfied.
