Ok, so i took my girlfriend here for the first time. We have honestly never been treated like this before. Sure we had 1 gentleman server at olive garden...but we talked to the manager about him and i hope he gets what he deserves. So as we enter we are greeted promptly and in a positive friendly but subtle manner. We are seated in one of may spacious and oddly private booths. The layout and design is efficient but also relaxed and sophisticated. Our server comes to greet us promptly with a great attitude. Gladly helped us navigate your amazing menu. She came by often but at the appropriate times. Was very observant to the queues. What i noticed was it really isn't all about who has what section to cover. They worked as an amazingly efficient team. Dishes bussed. Water filled. Timing on the food was really good. We felt comfortable the entire time. Now for the food. We had the steak bits and the french onion soup as an appetizer. The steak literally melts in your mouth. The french onion soup has substance. The broth was actually thick and flavourful. I had thier lemonade and it was without a doubt the best balanced lemonade i have ever had. Now for the entrées. Ribs and chicken. The ribs fell off the bone. Sauce was ok in general. The chicken breast they had though. It has this beautiful seasoning to it. Was perfectly cooked. The parm mashed potatoes were really good too. We also shared the lobster pasta dish. It was pretty good. Considering i never was a seafood fan. For desert we also shared the 3 mini desert dish. All were beautiful in taste appearance and texture. The creme brule was my favorite one. Just the right amount of sweet. Now for my absolute favorite dish. The asparagus. Ho-ly-shit.... i don't know what seasoning is going on in the kitchen or if it is even legal, but wow. Perfectly cooked and seasoned with magical goodness. As for our server who on wednesday was her first day back after a year of being off. Was plesant did an amazing job in taking care of us. Even accommodated us without any odd looks for having extra plates so we could share our dishes together. We will be back. Maybe not right away though. As amazing as the experience is, there is a cost to it. Wich is completely fair and legitimate. You pay for what you get. Amazing atmosphere, delicious food and wonderful staff. Best $140 dinner i could ask for. Keep up the good work. We will gladly come back.

It was very busy! Despite this, I don't feel that there was any delay in service. The barman made eye contact the moment I sat down, acknowledging my presence. He had a few patrons to attend to before me, but did not forget about me. I ordered two appetizers: the escargot-stuffed mushrooms and the vegetable tempura. Both dishes arrived at the same time and both were piping hot! Again, despite the restaurant and lounge being full, there was no delay in service. The food was delicious! The vegetables were tender-crisp, the batter was surprisingly flavorful on its own, and the wasabi aioli was excellent (I'm not fond of wasabi, but this aioli just had a hint of it, which I found pleasant). The escargot were amazing! This app was spread topped with asiago cheese, which added a delightful texture. My eyes were bigger than my stomach (no surprise there) and I couldn't quite finish some food, but oh how I wanted to. I will definitely eat at this restaurant again on my next trip to winnipeg.

My wife and I went to Chop on the recommendation of my sister and brother-in-law and our son and daughter-in-law. We will definitely be back! First and foremost, it was the service. We got there right at the opening and were seated quickly and courteously by the host. Our server, Steven, came soon after and gave us a great intro to the restaurant and the menu. Not to mention the complimentary champagne to start the evening. (Thanks!) I chose the sirloin steak experience, while my wife ordered the teriyaki experience. Steven suggested a 19 Crimes Shiraz for my wife and the Choncha y Toro Merlot for me. Excellent choices. The steaks were cooked exactly as ordered. The extra teriyaki sauce really added to my wife's steak experience. Nothing overwhelming, but added a nice touch. Her mashed potatoes were smooth and seasoned just right. My sirloin was very juicy with an excellent rock-salt rub. Again, not too much salt, but enough to give a richer pop to the flavour of the steak. Fresh cut fries with skin on were perfectly cooked. If you are looking for crispy fries, these were not, but they were not greasy at all. The vegetables were great! Oven roasted broccoli and beets. I've never had roasted beets before and now they are in the "favourites" category. All lightly seasoned and perfectly done. We ordered the mini trio dessert plate. The creme brulee was done well, good crust on top. The chocolate cheese cake excellent and the rum cake with a smooth vanilla ice cream - beyond awesome. Will definitely get that again. To top it off, the barista prepped a perfect capuccino. The highlight, again, was the service. We asked Steven to pace the evening well. We did not want to rush. He showed up at just the right time at each stage of the meal. He was very personable and served us well. Good job Chop! You have our business and recommendation.
