The food was amazing! We had the calamari which was to die for! We also had cannelloni & pizza both which were fresh and delicious! I loved the atmosphere and service also. If you haven’t been here I recommend you check it out!!
We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at Bellissimo. I had the lamb shank which was so tender the meat was falling off the bone. Several delicious options for vegans in the group. Our server was very professional - informative, help with wine selection and meal choices. We’ll be back!
I got the spaghetti and insalata con fichi for take out. Usually takeout doesnt taste quite as good but this was still delicious. I definitely plan on going back and trying some cocktails too.
The food and serve is very good. It's my new go to for Italian food. Patio wasn't open for some reason, it was warm enough. I had the Veal Parmigiana, it was very tasty. We were asked if we could move to another table because someone insisted on sitting at our table. The server was polite and embarrassed to ask.
This is a great neighbourhood restaurant that offers great food, great ambiance and exceptional choice of wines. We have been here many times and are never dissipointed, no need to go downtown we have our own hidden gem.
Pasta is amazing, I love that there are fresh, house-made pasta options. The calamari appetizer was huge! I split it with another person and it still filled me up. I had to take most of my main course home. The bread they give you is great as well. Caesar drinks are delicious and the service is good.
My wife and I went to Belissimo's, each for our first time, on our first official date about 4 years ago. We were greeted by a great hostess, served a delicious meal accompanied by very attentive, personal and friendly service! We absolutely loved the restaurant so much that I proposed to my now wife 2 years later at Belissimo's! We have been to the restaurant approximately 7 times in total and each time we have had fabulous experiences! The restaurant is fairly wide open but has a private intimate feel about it. We have thoroughly enjoyed each dish we have had, including the appetizers and deserts. Our favourite appetizer is the calamari! To die for!!! We have tried many entrées and too difficult to pick a favourite! Deserts...hmmm what more to say than all decadent...our suggestion, the turtle cheesecake! The menu has many options and all so good!!! If you are craving/looking for authentic Italian cuisine...please do yourself a favour and go to Belissimo's!!!
I have never been to Italy, but after trying a few Italian places in the city I think this is a must try for anyone who likes Italian, or good food.
The food here is absolutely delicious without a doubt! Excellent service as well, staff is friendly and efficient. The bread is baked fresh on site daily and there is a good selection of wines. My favorite restaurant in Winnipeg!
Though the pizza choices are interesting, I ordered what I ordered yesterday ... a pizza with pepperoni and tomatoes (with the tomatoes on top after it came out of the oven). Both times, it was delicious!. Hollie was my server on both days. She was really friendly and took excellent care of me.
Garlic overload. But the food is awesome. Good atmosphere. Been on many dates their and I have always had a good time. Get ready to smell like garlic for the next 2 days after though
I had dinner here for the first time last night and it was absolutely perfect. The staff were very friendly and personable, the food was amazing. We had the gnocchi and lobster mac n cheese, calamari, and a couple of delicious desserts (Tiramisu and Turtles cheesecake). There are many other dishes on the menu that I'm eager to try, looking forward to going back many times. It's not the cheapest place, but the experience and the food was worth every penny.
