The all-time best classic burger joint of Winnipeg. I've spent my 26 years on this earth trying just about every burger joint in the city from VJ's to the Red Top to the honourable mention: North Star Drive In. My dad took me here as a kid and it's still top. The fries are hands down the best in the city, very close to Kelekis', RIP. The fat boy is the burger to try here. Classic Greek style, with quartered pickles and freshly shredded lettuce and seasoned ground beef to die for. Its also fun to come here and watch the guy taking orders.
Been to lots of Burger joints in Winnipeg. Apart from Superboys, Wip is a go to for a reason - perhaps the best chili in Winnipeg. Get your burger in a bowl covered in chili. Cover your fries in chili. You will thank me later.
The best around. Fresh and always hot. Large beef patties with fresh toppings. Great food for the price. Will not disappoint. This has become my go to burger restaurant
Love their fries! Shoestring and slightly crunchy and perfect for tossing in the box and sharing. The milkshakes are really good too, just the right thickness and very filling. The burgers are ok, not my favourite, but won't stop me from coming back.
Stopped tonight between appointments. Cheese burger, chips w chilli and a drink. Food is so good, all homemade and tastes so delicious. Quality food. One of Winnipeg's BEST stops. Eat in the car.
Best double cheese and chips in the city. When I have people in from out of town and describe the chili burger in a bowl - they go out of their minds. Fat Boy is fantastic as well!! Highly recommended!!
I know a lot of people who rave about this place and I finally broke down and tried it out. It was pretty much what I expected...the fat boy was delicious and the fries were awesome! I really like the thinner type of fries and they were excellent here. The burger was good but I wouldn't say the best I've ever had. Service was great, very friendly. It's the kind of place that reminds me of being a kid.
While I’ve wandered a fair ways down Marion Street, I’ve never stopped at Dairi Wip Drive-In. Part of this is due to the fact that my St. Philip’s office is just a couple of blocks away from Mrs. Mike’s, whose King Burger I really like. In part it’s because I hadn’t really noticed the seating on the side. A few weeks ago, just before we went into a bit of early spring chill here in Winnipeg, I finally ventured down to Dairi Wip.
The best poutine and fast and friendly service!. The poutine was the best in the city. The service was fast and friendly. The complaint I have is that they only accepted cash. This in itself isn't a true complaint because Dairi-Wip is nostalgic in that way.

Ordered a Fatboy along with Fries & gravey and large soda.
The Fatboy was very tasty, and messy. You will always need extra napkins for this one 👍🏻
The fries and gravey was not for me, they were shoestring fries and gravey was a little to runny for my choice.
The price of the meal was expected.
It has allot of free parking which is always a bonus.
Its CASH only in this establishment and as it does have a few picnic tables for you to sit at outside, no dining in here, which also adds the nostalgia.
The gentleman who took my order was very polite as well.
I can total see why this burger spot has a loyal customer following.
Great fat boy burger! Thick moist patty, and many napkins needed makes it great! Would be 5 ⭐️’s but the fries in the poutine which have this claim, “Savoury home cut shoestring fries made to order”, were hard like they had been under the warmer and not fresh, making them disappointing. The poutine was much to small for over $8. Next time will try a shake, float or sundae.
They have a small menu, but everything on it is done to perfection. Delicious burgers, crispy fries, and yummy shakes. If you like greasy spoons, this is as good as it gets! Prices are a little higher then your average mom/pop shop, but well worth the value (Cash only unless you order online)

Fat Boys + Poutine = amazing. I'm a repeat customer and they stay consistent. I'm not a big fan of fat boys but I can always go for one here. The poutine with the shoe cut fries made me do a happy dance. Don't worry, all that gravy is a good thing. There are still crispy fries down there. Order directly on their website!!! We didn't have to wait long and they will bring it to your vehicle.
Very polite & friendly staff, food was delicious. None of their entrees can be made gluten free/friendly. The staff confirmed that the all of their meat products have bread crumbs or other sources of gluten mixed in. Looking forward to going back in summer to try their ice cream.
