Another local. I live right across the street from the Gladstone and have had the opportunity to eat there many times from when it was empty at opening to a busy vibrant scene now.
Good bistro food, nice owners and service team. Only issues is the speed of the service which on occasion has been inefficient and slow. Food is MB rating 8.

Un vrai gastro pub au coeur de Westmount. Quand le Gladstone a ouvert ses portes sur la rue Sainte-Catherine, son style contemporain et son ambiance décontractée ont amené un vent de modernisme dans un quartier qui s’illustre plus souvent par son nombre d’établissements poussiéreux et collet montés que modernes et branchés.
Ce qui démarque le Gladstone de ses voisins de quartier n’est pas seulement son décor moderne et soigné, ni l’accueil chaleureux du propriétaire, ni le service impeccable de ses serveurs attentifs et sympathiques, mais bel et bien la qualité et la fraîcheur de sa cuisine. Basé sur un concept « de la ferme à la table », le menu se renouvelle régulièrement selon les saisons et les arrivages du marché. On y trouve les grands classiques des bistros français dont les plats traditionnels sont exécutés avec attention et raffinement. Une mention toute particulière au chef pâtissier. Bien que sa mousse au chocolat soit visiblement le dessert le plus populaire, je préfère, pour ma part, ses tartes aux fruits. Mes préférées sont la tarte Tatin et la tarte aux poires sur frangipane. De vrais chefs d’œuvre !

A real gastro pub in the heart of Westmount!
When Le Gladstone opened its doors on rue Sainte-Catherine, its contemporary decor and fun atmosphere brought a modern accent to the often stodgy Westmount restaurant scene.
What makes Le Gladstone different from its neighbors is not only its modern and refined décor, its owner’s warm welcome, or the impeccable service of its attentive and friendly waiters, but the quality and freshness of its cuisine. Designed around a “from-farm-to-table” concept, the menu changes according to the seasons and the local-market availability. Authentic classic French bistro dishes are executed with particular care and refinement. The pastry chef delights us every week with his lovely desserts. Even though his chocolate mousse gets the most visible mention, I personally prefer his fruit tarts. My favorite ones are the Tatin tart and the almond/pear tart. Both delectable!

Beautiful Decor!. Excellent, A truly timeless experience! I loved the fresh food, the ambiance, the service, the intimate tables! What a charming place, feels like a trendy Paris Bistro in Westmount.

It gets better with every visit!. I have been to Le Gladstone 3 times in the past few months and I truly must say that the food, service and atmosphere, which were great to begin with, have only gotten better with each visit.
They present their food almost like an art museum would, with somewhat of a "permanent collection" and a temporary "exhibit" that changes frequently, keeping things fresh and exciting.
One of the must-try pieces showcased in the permanent collection is the Burrata. I tried this dish on my first visit and have been unable to keep myself from ordering it every time since! Other highlights were the charcuterie board and the beef tartare (with traditional quail egg).
As for the exhibits, I would have to applaud the lobster linguini (to die for) and the lobster rolls complete with homemade bread. Furthermore the desserts, MY GOD THE DESSERTS. I don't typically order dessert, but the way they are described, I just couldn't help myself and have never regretted my decision.
Another thing that adds to the charm of this restaurant is the staff! They are very knowledgeable in terms of their menu (and where each item comes from) as well as any wine pairings you may want. They even suggest the perfect steep time for your tea.
Their plates complete with "g" insignia are the perfectly polished finishing touch.
Le Gladstone has come up with a winning combination that keeps its patrons coming back again and again! Will definitely be back for a 4th, 5th....15th visit!
Excellent, surprising and delicious.... Good new are great news!!! Finally a "Bistronomie" restaurant or bistro in Montréal... After Paris it was about time!
I was really surprised by Le Gladstone cuisine and service... Excellent, tasty and I could ad so many adjectives to describe what I discovered on that night... I did love it so much that I kept going there at least once a week since it opened.
I was reading a bad review about the restaurant on the Urbanspoon... Strange! Probably that person got mixed up and talked about another place because the description doesn't fit with what we eat there and the way the service is offered to its clientèle...

Great experience!. Went with some friends one evening between Christmas and New Year. We started with some smoked salmon and oysters. Then I had the aged Rib Eye and my friends had the fish of the day, the summer flounder. Great meal and relaxing ambiance. Definitely going back!
