Fantastic service and exceptional food! We would definitely come back! Enjoyed a variety of food and our little ones loved it. Great experience.
I had been intending on writing a review on Bene Sushi for a while since I have been here a couple of times already. Although I am by no means a sushi connoisseur, my girlfriend is. Well kind of. She is big on sushi so we are always trying out new places to find the best. While Vancouver has many, this one is more conveniently located to us.
This is one of the better sushi spots in the area. A lot might complain about it being expensive but everything in the area is. While the sushi itself is not bad (check out their rolls), I feel like the wait staff is extremely inexperienced. Every single time there is an extraneous wait for everything - from being acknowledged to receiving water. Having to spend an extra hour to receive everything for twice the price than in other places does not do this place any favours.
We were in the area for an activity, so thought to catch a late lunch in the neighbourhood as well. Deciding that we had a taste for sushi, and after exploring a few blocks, we were satisfied with our choice. There surprisingly weren’t many places open in Ambleside on a Sunday. From its exterior it looked pretty chic. Wood panels framing with an all glass front. Looking in, it seemed just as glitzy. Definitely one of the nicest Japanese fusion restaurants I have been to.

Pleasant and Merry Experience During Holiday Season. I have heard and read so many positive reviews about Bene Sushi Restaurant and I was excited that I finally had a chance to try them out this Christmas season when my friend came to visit. Everything was absolutely great and this still is an understatement. Our dining experience was bolstered not only by their delicious dishes but also by their professional services. The ambiance was perfect for some hot sake and a long catching-up conversation with my friend. Their Toro and Uni were especially fresh and we were satisfied with the portions and other sashimis as well. The servers were attentive and friendly. I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone living / visiting West Van. I am glad that this high-quality Japanese restaurant exists in West Van and will be coming back here often.
Unique. Rather small portion but very good. I really like the baked salmon roll. The cream cheese just makes it taste perfect.
Great food great price. We eat sushi once or twice a week and we have had a favourite sushi restaurant in West Vancouver for years. But after eating at Bene Sushi we have a new favourite. Some of the best sushi I have ever had and some very creative rolls if you want to try something different. There is also a fantastic desert place next door.CC Violine Patisserie if you feel like a desert after that incredible sushi. They also have a number of great cooked dishes the beef teriyaki is my favourite. Enjoy!
Great sushi! We live in White Rock, but whenever we are in West Vancouver we love Bene! Really fresh sushi and presentation! Prices are good too
Good specialty rolls. Nice decor. Specialty rolls are good with many excellent choices. Love the Lionsgate Roll. Sashimi could be a bit more generous in the serving. Servers are friendly.
Worth a visit.
Is always happy to find a great japanese restaurant! The prices are spot on and the food is fresh and of high quality! I got a combo plate which was great bang for your buck! Lots of food for 15.00$ would I recommend this place hands down yes! I just felt that for lunch on a Saturday the service was a little sluggish.
