I wanted my girlfriend to be exposed to the north shore more, because I was born and raised there. The Beachhouse has been a West Van favorite for the locals here.
When you arrive at dundarave, make a left on 25th. Continue down 25th until you see the sea walk beach parking to the left. It's free for 4 hours, and the walk to the restaurant is just a 2 minute walk. The Beachhouse restaurant only has 4 parking slots for free if your lucky.
This place has a incredible patio with a breath taking view of the ocean. This spot is highly recommended for Valentine's day also if your lucky enough to book in advance.
As for today's experience, I wanted to show my girlfriend a great brunch spot with a incredible view of the ocean. The service is always very comforting here. Friendly staff with warm smiles.
Not alot of people know this except the local West Vancouverites, but I would like to share this with all our viewers. This place has a brunch hour special from 11am to 12pm. That's right. All brunch entrees are $10 each. Talk about being frugal and eating on the West side with a ocean view. Now your probably wondering if it's full hearty plates that aren't skimpy, right? Let me reassure you by saying it's industry standard plating that will fill you up.
My significant other got the crab bennys. The English muffin was nicely toasted, eggs poached perfectly medium, crab prepped and tossed beautifully, and the hollandaise sauce executed properly. Their hollandaise sauce is delicious. The potatoes were nicely seasoned and crispy.
I got the lobster and prawn omlette. I loved this dish. The lobster and prawns didn't have a rubbery texture and the eggy omlette roll was supple and buttery. The dish came with a refreshing salad that had walnuts and goat cheese. The fried bread was surprisingly light. I loved how it was seasoned with a touch of dried herbs. I definitely would order this dish again.
My girlfriend loved this experience, and we would keep returning.
Nice oceanside location on the Centennial Seawalk steps from Dundarave Pier and beach. We decided to take a break from our walk for Happy Hour and enjoy the beautiful view of Vancouver and Burrard Inlet. The patio was beckoning us...
Enjoyed a couple of cold ones, avocado toast, and a platter of oysters. Would love to see a non-meat veg option for burgers. We were all eyeballing the $11 Mile High Apple Pie at another table. West Van pricey but Happy Hour 3-6pm (and after 9pm) is a fair deal. Service was good. The beachside patio is a scenic spot.
Happy hour and ocean view. Two draws... and maybe that pie!
2017. 06. 16. My friends Yang and Allen’s Wedding. My boyfriend and I went to their wedding and had a wonderful wedding dinner at The Beach House Restaurant. The Restaurant is located in West Vancouver and has a super nice view of the Pacific Ocean. It was our first time there. The servers were nice and friendly. The food was very fresh and tasty. We enjoyed our dinner there.
Well, I think I found yet another place to get a great afternoon meal. This was my first time here. A friend and I decided to share some appetizers, and in was a good idea. We got oysters, calamari, fish tacos, some toast with avocado and stuff on it, and some dessert. I enjoyed everything equally. I'm definitely going to return to try other things.
This place has gotten better and better over the past few months, and currently, I would consider it one of the top places to brunch and dine. A few select new items on the menu were amazing and the service is excellent, and of course, the view is breathtaking. It is apparent that the current management is right on! We breakfast/brunch out approximately 3 times a week and have tried almost all places in Vancouver, and can confidently say, this is our regular spot - and we're picky! LOL
Nice view and good service. I went with some Mandarin speaking family friends and it was quite funny because the waiter gave us all chopsticks even though we didn't ask for any just because all of us were speaking Mandarin. I guess that's quite accommodating! The good itself was alright, we ordered the lobster prawn roll, mussel pot, beach house salad, tuna nacho dish, and calamari. I thought everything was okay, but not necessarily a place I would suggest to go on a normal occasion. Although it was quite nice to have a stroll by the beach after our meal!
I stumbled across this place while walking the beach with a coffee one morning. The next day i stopped in for lunch. I had the mussel pot with fries and my friend had the fettucini alfredo. She claims it was the best alfredo she's ever had. The mussel pot was quite good as well. The portion was huge, the mussels fresh and the flavours were very nice. The staff was very warm and inviting, even though i was in my dirty work clothes. My advice, however, is arrive early, before the patio fills up. Cause it does
Great place to take visitors from out of town!. We had a long leisurely lunch here recently. Shared a salad and appetizer, carafe of wine, then tried the crusted halibut. The fish was cooked to perfection! View was amazing. We had a table overlooking the beach and watched kids playing with the globe. Great service as well. Not intrusive. Just there when you needed them.
Incredible view, service was great.. The food was really good. I had the prawn appetizer, as I though there wasn't much to pick from. The pork ribs just fell off the bone. I didn't need a knife, but I thought it was a little bland. Dessert was small, but really good. Overall, I didn't think the food was especially outstanding to want to go back.
Service was pretty outstanding. The waiter was very attentive and he was cleaning the glasses as were sitting there watching him, waiting for our food.
Nice ambiance and view. We enjoyed dinner there. Relaxing and non rushed. Had the halibut and chips. Good texture, moist. But a bit greasy. French onion soup rich in flavour. Scallop and prawn linguini was tasty and pasta cooked perfectly. Enjoyed my experience there.
