This cozy restaurant has the best food - whether it is the eggs and whole grain toast or the 'health nut' or their delicious bake goods.
The staff are friendly - and I love the 'swauck' of the rubber chicken that indicates that your 'order' is up and the staff will soon deliver it.
Nice atmosphere - all gather there - very young, quite old and all in between are comfortable

Tried the chicken breast sandwich after hiking. It was awesome and the staff was super nice. The place was also cute and just minutes away from the beach.
Pictured: The Posh Smoked Salmon brunch dish at my fave brunch/happy place hidden away in West Vancouver. If you don’t live in West Vancouver, this is worth the trip! They also have lunch and fabulous baked goods and pies. My other favourites at The Bakehouse In Dundarave include their granola and yogurt, which comes with the most delicious toast, their french toast, as well as the Farmhouse, which is their full on eggs-potatoes-toast-meat breakfast plate. The bakery is very casual and rustic - you order at the counter and find your own seat. Then, they call your name and bring you your order when it's ready.
Tasty sandwiches & mac and cheese. Good spot for a quick filling lunch. Cousin insisted that we tried her favourite "melting moments" -- pretty sweet.
This place is very comforting and homey. It's a great place to grab comfort food style breakfast or lunch. The servers are usually very friendly as well. I'll often just step in to get some of their delicious baked goods as well!
We drove to beautiful West Van and stopped for lunch at the first place we saw after we parked in Dundarvae Village.
The Bakehouse in Dundarave exceeded our expectations.
Amber had a salad and I had mulligawtny soup-which I love and rarely find, plus their spinach/cheese omelette.
All the dishes were good as well as their grain toast, in a nice casual atmosphere.
Went for breakfast a couple times while in West Van. The breads are amazing. The multigrain is to die for and the turkey sausage with breakfast is a must.
Amazing breakfast in a bakery style with some of the best fresh baked sourdough bread & cinnamon buns I've ever had. Entres are decently portioned and the country fried potatoes to die for, boiled and then fried with soft insides & hardened to perfection outside & no visible grease or oil anywhere to be seen. Just like Grandma used to make.
Wonderful!!. I love the bakehouse! The food is great. I can't get enough of there baking!! its all made from scratch daily. try the scones and there pies are so full of fruit. They have started to do lunch specials and weekend breakfast specials. This weekend they had something called an ugly omelet. It was fantastic. It had spinach and tomatoes with feta cheese.They have home made jam for the toast, so yummy! Great food for a fair price! I can't wait to see what they come up with next!! Try them out!!
Great brunch spot. Our group of friends enjoyed brunch here after a big night out. The ham, leek & potato soup was soothing and had a great texture. Our friends enjoyed their french toast. Nice, relaxing environment. The dining tables could probably be laid out a little better, but over all its cool space.
