Café Crema is a perfect little spot near Ambleside. Fresh sandwiches, baked goods (we had the Almond Croissant) and a grilled sandwich each (mine the Montreal smoked meat and my partner pesto chicken) both grilled to perfection and fresh flavors as well as the just right bread. Well worth a visit if your in West Vancouver looking for a warming up combined with a nice cafe and nosh!
Cafe Crema is a coffee shop in West Vancouver next to Ambleside Park. It is conveniently located with plenty of free street parking. Cafe Crema is run by Gianniakos family that also owns Revolver in Gastown. Cafe Crema is more a neighborly coffee shop compared to its hip sister. Cappuccino: A creamy cup espresso with good mouth feel of well portioned hot milk and steamed milk foam. I like the coffee is not acidic and does not have a lingering bitterness after taste.
Looking for a place to grab a coffee and quick bite, or breakfast? There are quite a few choices here at Cafe crema, with a gorgeous view of the ocean and Ambleside beach.
Café Crema, the fourth stop in our Search for Vancouver’s Best Coffee, caters to an upscale crowd. (Café Crema is run by the same family that owns Revolver in Gastown.) We have walked past this café so many times over the years heading to the seawall, so today we were elated to discover this unique coffeehouse. It’s dressed to the nines in West Elm inspired furnishings (dark walnut, sparkly tile, a grand framed mirror, and fresh flowers in a vase). Is it wrong to want my house to look like this?
Hands down, some of the best coffee in the city.. The service here is top-notch, and the staff knows coffee phenomenally well.. I always go out of the way to visit this family-run cafe if I'm on my way up the 99 to Squamish or Whistler.
Also, one of the only places in the city you can pick up Phil&Seb beans!!!
In west vans limited attractions and may I say somewhat prestigious attitude, it Carey's many chains which I am sad to say are probably your safest bet... But no longer. Cafe Crema is a rare gem that offers somthing for everyone; wheather that may be a few girlfriends wanting a great macchiato and a delicious muffin before school, or a business owner looking to set up his computer in a booth with a veiw and get a large coffee and a two eggs breakfast, or an accounted whos had a stressful day and is looking for somthing sweet but small and a heavenly foamy dry cappichino, or a dieter who's vegan and gluten free. Creme et la creme de la creme (excuse the bad pun).
Grab a coffee, head to the beach. Cafe Crema has been a zoo each time i've been in- crowded & super noisy. No problem, though, since the beach is across the road! The coffee is very good- they use beans roasted by Phil & Sebastian (from Calgary), Alberta & Ecco (California), and JJBean.
Best coffee in Vancouver! Friendly service and great baked goods, all made from scratch! Those who say too expensive, don't know much about coffee and should stick to Statbucks!
So much to say, so little time. Have you tried their brunch? the eggs benedict-like thing, amazing. while I give it the highest marks I have given to any eggs benedict or eggs benedict variation I have tried, the bread to yolk proportion is just a touch off. So it is important to strategise how to use your bread. Also, as with their sandwiches the prosciutto is not pre-cut or ripped, so it easily disrupts what is resting upon it when you try to cut or bite it. The Gruyere sauce (rather than hollandaise) goes so well with all the other carefully chosen elements. Every major hotel and restaurant where I have tried similar things at is blown out of the water by what the Crema gang has done here. And it pairs so well with a french press.
have you me the people there? The Giannakos family, every one of them is lovely and so engaged in their business, and they hire so well.
have you seen their rosettas?
tasted their gibralters?
Crema is a great cafe that does justice to the gorgeous location it is blessed to be in.
Cafe Crema was my introduction to coffee, and for that it holds a special place for me. From their staff I learned to identify the flavors in a French press, how to drink short drinks (quickly), and what makes good coffee from bad. The place is generally busy, but rarely can you not find a table, or someone friendly to share one.
