Food was great and worth the wait! And it was a bit of a long wait. We were rewarded with slices of free pie for being good sports. Nice touch. Thank you Taryn!
Savary Island Pie company is an icon of West Vancouver. They served incredible baked pies, breads, and pastries.
Their baked chicken pot-pie is to die for.
The seating is limited, and the place is popular, so finding somewhere to sit can be a bit of an issue. We personally love the oldish wooden tables and chairs, casual-looking reading lamps, and grandma-pie smelling ambience.
Savary Island Pie Company is located on Marine Drive in West Vancouver. This is one of those places that you have to visit when you are on the North Shore. They have delicious pies, tasty sandwiches and scones.
We had a Grilled Chicken & Basil Sandwich. It was very tasty, and it was worth every penny. It was very hard for not trying their pasties, so we brought scones and muffins to go.

Went here to pick up some stuff for friends. Been hearing about this place for a while.Â
Also decided to try some pie - absolutely loved their cherry and blueberry pie. Just sweet and tart enough.Â
They have a great menu as well, will come back to try other items!
How do i describe one of the best grilled cheese sandwiches ive ever had! Its not a traditional grilled cheese with way to much cheese dripping out of it but what it lacks in excess cheese it makes up for in flavour.
Let me start with the thick but somehow airy bread that is the base of our sandwhich. It's heavenly and then to top it off they grill it with garlic in the pan. The undertone of garlic really makes this sandwhich. It also happens to go great with the fresh tomatoe and red onion.
Basically its perfection and well worth the carbs!! Thank goodness my friend and i both got one, cause i wasnt sharing with him :p
I also had a freshly squeezed oj and a rasberry scone to go. The oj was great and the scone was delicious. I will be back. This places only downfall, it is no where near where i live but that's probably a good thing for my waistline.
GO HERE! Ps the enviroment is super casual bakery style so dont expect bells and whistles just good product.
Love the smell of fresh baked goods that enters your nostrils when you first step in here. The place is very small, quaint coffee shop like, and there are a limited number of tables which makes sharing with others common practice here. The pies are to die for (try the raspberry or strawberry rhubarb) but a little expensive.
Although I have yet to try the order online and delivery services it was definitely unexpected and a good idea after learning the menu. The chicken pot pie is amazing!!! I love that they have frozen pies to take home as well. EAT HERE PEOPLE.
Who doesn't like pie? loved the selection of savory and delicious pies! I wanted to try them all! I was strictly looking for dessert and I wasted no time eating it.
Any pastry-lover's heaven. Savary Island Pie is the place to go if you are looking for anything sweet in West Vancouver. Scones, muffins, pies...and on and on. Coffee is so-so, but adds a great smell to the place.
...after entering Savary Island Pie Company, we knew it was the place. The endless menu of sweet and savoury options, all house-made, was so difficult for my indecisive mind. I was just ogling at the treats showcased in front of me, each one of them ever so tempting. We both settled with veggie sandwiches with side salads, a lemon chess pie, and a chocolate oat cookie to share. It was a glorious spread and one I wouldnât trade for the world.
