One of my favourite places for a good genuinely Thai meal. As Thai food is typically hot and spicy, it is important to indicate how spicy you want your food to be, especially if you are an Asian like me used to hot and spicy food!

Always Loves It There. The staff at this location is always friendly and helpful. I love going to this restaurant as they provide good service and good food no matter how busy they are. My main disappointment is that they are always out of Thai Iced Tea whenever I go, but aside from that, I always have a good time!

Personal "To-Go" Thai Staple. I was surprised to see this place sitting at 79%. To be fair, I would consider it a far more viable option for take-out than dining in. The decor... well, there really is none, and the seating looks like someone just thought that, at some point, it would be a good idea to throw some cheap chairs and tables into the mix in case people wanted to sit down while they waited.
That's where my complaints end. Although I have a sneaking suspicion that the portion sizes have gotten smaller over the past several months, this place provides incredibly flavourful pad thai with (jury is out on this one now) incredibly generous portions at reasonable prices. I've found them to be quick and friendly enough, and can't say that I'd complain about the service. Lunch in particular is a great time to stop by if you're looking for a very reasonably priced thai dish in a smaller portion.
They do engage in the "close after lunch and open for supper" philosophy, and I do wish they were opened an hour earlier for supper, but those are the breaks with a lot of Asian cuisine restaurants. I've had pad thai here on numerous occasions, and have been thoroughly impressed the vast majority of the time, and always with some left over for a later snack AND another meal. If you're there for supper, definitely take a famished stomach or, better yet, a friend! Just make sure to take it to go.

Quick decent thai. I have been going to the shelbourne street location little thai place for a couple years and i haven't ever had a bad meal. The service is friendly and the food relatively quick. I find i most enjoy their curry dishes or the noodle specials. I have gone with my gluten free friends and they make the substitutions quite easily. the only thing i would warn you about is the pad thai. My friend once ordered the chicken pad thai and it arrived looking good, but tasting really sweet. almost like a plate of noodles with only ketchup on them; not very impressive. Overall, i think it's a great little restaurant with some dishes being better than others.
Best customer service and delicious food!. I eat here far too often! They know my order when I come in and they even recognize me if I phone in an order! As a health-consious and picky eater, I make a lot of special requests and substitutions when eating out and The Little Thai Place always accomodates my order with no problems and a big smile. The place is great for take-out or a fast meal, but the waitresses here make it worth the stay. My favorite is the Vegetarian Tom Yum soup, but I have tried almost everything and love it all!

Quick and Yummy. Went to Little Thai Place two weekends ago for an early dinner at 5pm. Excellent service, and great food - usually I order the red curry with pork (#50). A bit annoying to pay for rice but that seems to be normal in Victoria. I forgot that they normally don't adjust the heat level and asked for medium; they were able to adjust this time and it was great.
Some of the specials that are rice or noodle-based can be very large portions. The lunch menu portion is good for one-person, and the dinner portion I can usually squeeze out two meals if I order rice, as I am a light eater. My dinner companion ate all of his dinner portion. They didn't have dessert this time.
It seems to be calmer at this location once the UVic students have mostly gone home at the end of April. During the school year, it's a crazy hopping location with lots of people coming and going, and lines to "eat-in" as well as "take-out".
One drawback of this location is the size of the tables seems to be too small for two people, and cramped if one person orders more than one dish. i.e. not enough surface space. Also, the chairs seems to make a lot of noise against the floor. There is "bar" seating against the window though, and a mounted tv if someone wants to watch that.
I have been here also with groups of 4 or 6 and the service seems to be speedy regardless of group size, and I have seen lots of people lined up here for take-out. Typically, during the school year "take-out" can take longer than 15-20 minutes due to competition between "eat-in" patrons and "take-out" patrons. Best is to call ahead and then go in and pick it up if you can.
Conveniently located in the Shelbourne Plaza with Fairway Market, TD Bank, a Liquor Store, Starbucks and a Laundromat.
I have one word for Little Thai Place . . . . . FANTASTIC ! Well worth going for lunch or dinner. I am very impressed and I love Thai food. Enjoy.
I can say that I eat little Thai once every couple of months. 6 months ago however I would have answered a couple of times a month. the reason behind that is that I found that they slowly started to become almost like fast food. The flavours were less exciting, the colours not as bright, the amount of oil found in dishes...all things that detoured me. Although in the end I still love Thai, and if I'm feeling lazy I will stil enjoy my pad Thai and gang ghai.
Tom yum soup is best in town so far to me. The lady who attended us was so lovely. Close to my place so we’ll stop by more often!
I ordered the Prawn dish with onions, garlic, peppers and sweet chili sauce and if was easily one of the best Thai dishes I have ever had.
Me and my friend were both seriously blown away like yooo.

Good place for lunch. Value is not the best but not bad. When I was dining there the waitress was watching some Asian drama which was a bit distracting. People do not realize how cell phone speakers and their poor quality are to others not watching. Especially not great when it's coming from the someone working.
Me and my son had an extremely great experience here! This place deserves more popularity. The food is always fresh and delicious. Never underestimate little restaurants.
The people who work here are always amazing and friendly. The dishes are great and large portion. I love to support them because they are always super accomodating.
We went right at close and they still served us with a friendly attitude. I felt so bad for them working late.

Cons:
- The place seems small. So you won't find a seat if you come at busy time. There are very limited tables.

Ordered pad thai here and it was ready so quickly! Lots of food for a reasonable price. The cashier was also really friendly and gave us extra peanuts and lime for free! Only complaint is the tofu, it’s a bit spongy and doesn’t taste very good. Other than that it was a great experience!
This is such a wonderful little spot, tucked away in the corner of the Fairway Market parking lot on Shelburne! The food is delicious and always fresh and plentiful and the waitress is as delightful as the food!! Always a terrific experience!!
When I called to place my pick-up order, the person on the phone was really polite and helpful. The food was ready quickly and was really delicious. I liked that they weren't afraid to use enough fish sauce, so I found it tasted more authentic than other places in town. My only complaint is that the pad Thai noodles were a bit mushy/broken. Will be ordering from here again!
Just popped in for the first time for some quick eats. Lady at the front was lovely, excellent service, very knowledgable about the menu. I had the Lunch Special #2 sweet yellow curry with potatoes and chicken. I cannot get over how good this is. Good portion, perfectly prepared. I will be definitely coming back next time I'm in town.
