Great spot for fish and chips! Make sure you get here early on the weekend, as it gets pretty busy. The food is great and came out quickly after ordering. The owners are very friendly and kind, and it was nice to sit outside the shop and enjoy lunch at their outdoor tables.
Awsome people and the Fish and Chips were top notch. Only a 4 star for Atmospher because the temperature was only 7 degrees for eating outside lol.
This little shack on the street with friendly staff, fresh fish, yummy homemade burger patties, good fries and quick service is a go-to spot in the neighbourhood for take out and on warmer days the picnic tables are appreciated. So glad it's here. Below, the option of halibut is missed. It's the best and they cook it properly.
The kids absolutely favs, spot for fish n chips/milkshakes and noodles. Thus place has everything!! Not going lie, I also endahlge in a buccaneer burger from time to rhyme. While the Mrs.. loves her poutine/ketchup. Show your DND ID card, and receive 10% off the top!! Local gem! This place is the REAL DEAL for fish & chips and one of the best in the region. Food is fantastic: great value in terms of quality and portions. There is a right way to do fish & chips, and The Willows Galley gets everything perfect! The fried fish is always fresh, juicy, flavorful, and has a wonderful batter; the chowder is hearty; the fries are solid; and the Treasure Chest (fried scallops, shrimp, and oysters) is absolutely wonderful with fantastic fresh seafood that is fried perfectly. The menu has lots of selection plus they have take-out ice cream. All in all, The Willows Galley is one of my favorite local culinary spots!
The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Service was great. Funky little place. The First Mate’s Plate was top notch. The halibut was a large serving and cooked perfectly. Good fries and tarter sauce. I really enjoyed the prawns as well. Great place to eat if you’re hanging out at Willows Beach.
Delicious, crispy, and filling! The poutine was delightful and the fish has a nice light batter. I'd recommend eating the fish right away as it goes soft by the time I'm done driving home! It's definitely worth it to park your butts and have a picnic on their outdoor tables. The tartar has a wonderful spice flavour, I would almost say tumeric was involved, either way I'd definitely have a bottle in my fridge if I could haha! 10/10 will be back again
The Neptune burger is the best halibut burger you will EVER have. One of my #1 favourite things to eat. When I would come home to visit my parents, my first stop was always the Galley. Now I bring my kids. Generations of happy bellies.❤️
Hadn't been in years and wasn't disappointed taking the family on a sunny Sunday. The fish and chips were glorious ( wife & son loved the fries) son had a damn good chocolate milkshake |~ situated on lovely quiet corner and a short walk to or from Willows Beach, definitely worth the visit!
Love the Galley fish and chips in Estevan Village. Great local business that is so family friendly. You can either take your food down to Willows Beach or the little park nearby and have a picnic. Locals say it’s the best fish and chips in Victoria- and they wouldn’t be wrong.
