Pho was solid and Pad Thai was yum! The padthai wasn't made with ketchup like other places but was still tangy... A decent place to get a meal near Vaughn Mills on a rainy day!
I was starving after shopping at Vaughn Mills shopping center next door. It was about 9pm when we got here. Looks like any other Pho place but the price was a little on the high end ($7.45 for a Medium bowl). I ordered a rare beef with tripe noodle. The soup was really good with lots of sprouts and mint. The beef was sliced thin and tasted fresh with lots of flavor. It is a no frills place and what you see is what you get. No disappointments here.
This is my regular spot for a hot bowl of delicious pho at least once every two weeks. I always order pho tai or sometimes grilled pork and chicken on rice with fried egg. For sides I usually order fresh grilled pork rolls or fried spring rolls which are very delicious!
Service is always very quick and the food comes out fast. Yum!
An early go-to pho spot in Vaughan is Pho Mi 99 because they are so convenient for takeout. Fast forward a year, we finally dropped by to dine-in. It's pretty much a family-run food hall, with trolleys of prepared dishes coming from the kitchen within minutes of ordering.
Their well-done beef rice noodle soup had a decent pho broth base. It's a little on the oily side but the savoury soup taste that you want is there. The waitress was quite considerate, bringing scissors & a plastic bowl for the lil one w/o us asking (plus one star!). The grilled pork and spring roll on vermicelli was also on point. A bit skimpy on the grilled meat but the golden spring roll is very crispy with a thick batter that helps fill up your appetite.
We thought perhaps they were having a slow evening with only 2 tables occupied in the large dining area when we arrived. However 20 minutes later, the place was pretty much packed to my surprise. Pho Mi 99 is a local favourite for cheap authentic Vietnamese eats.
Fantastic Vietnamese foods, the true taste of tradition dishes. Highly recommended.
Great food great service, what else can you ask for? The broth is deliciously flavourful, only wish they used ribeye for the rare beef. Everything was overall great!
