Came back to try Timkee after my roommate ordered from them. The place was kind of small and gave us the vibe that they are more focused on takeout/delivery rather than eating-in. Fair enough. The variety of dishes made up for it anyway. There are tons of options to choose from so you will never get bored, especially if you like beef or seafood (orange peel beef anyone?). We came out so full we could barely walk, lol.TL; DR: Good place to try if you are looking for Chinese
Nice little Chinese shop on Kitsilano. Lots of plates to share with and choose from. We had the shanghai noodles, fish & chicken hotpot, and wontons which came out very flavourful and not too expensive. Huge portions though! Service is friendly and casual but can be a little slow for us impatient ones. I would advice to either come during off/slow hours or simply getting some take-out.
Good Chinese option in the city. Solid Chinese food option. Funnily enough, I used to pass by it every day when I would head home from work but never really got around to trying it. Came with the gf the other day and was mildly impressed. I've come back a couple of times after that and the food is good. There is no "bad" food encounter here, esp with the spicy beef, sweet and sour pork and spring rolls, which is what I usually get. Service can be a bit slow sometimes but manageable. Would recommend going in off hours.
Hot pot spot!. Good value Chinese around the area, wouldn't have known about it if it were not for my work colleagues. Love the fact that it's walking distance from work, which is super convenient to me esp. during lunch hours.
The food is actually quite nice, not too greasy or overtly-saucey and served in generous portions. Shout out to the people there and its hot pots - the house special and satay beef are delish!
Nice little place and really good sweet and sour pork. I was walking around Kits and I just found this place by chance. It was way passed lunch time so the place was sort of empty. I ordered the sweet and sour pork and it literally came in less than 15 minutes. At first I judged the speed and thought they had it pre-cooked or something but in any case, the taste was great. No complaints about this place and the service is really good.
Glad I didn't listen to the bad reviews and tried them out. I feel like I gotta say something about this because I was about not to try out this place solely on the bad reviews. I'm glad I gave it a try.
When I called them I got a lady that was very nice. Ordered the BBQ Pork and Mixed Veggies. The food was done in less than 15 minutes. (I ordered take out and waited there) The service was ok and the food was great. I was surprised since the reviews here and Yelp were sort of bad. I would say try them out for yourself!
Good chinese food res. I called and ordered food. The lady is very nice and the food got to my place within 10 minutes. Food taste good and rice is still hot. keep the good work!!
Don't miss out this tiny Chinese rest., they serve great variety of choices, food comes out hot and tasty just like eating at 大排檔,the portion is big while they charge more than reasonable!!! 1 lunch combo can be good for 2 ladies, and quality is good too. Ppl under rated them.
Delicious, Chinese Food!!!. I don't why I haven't always ordered from here.
House Special Chow Mein is crispy but not too greasy. The spring rolls have great flavor and they have my favorite, Sautéed Green Beans!!!
Just ordered my lunch from here and I CAN'T WAIT!!!
Great take-out Chinese food!!! Tried a few other places in my area before finding this place and it's definitely beats the rest. I'm not too picky to take-out Chinese but the others were almost inedible. I was so happy to find a go-to Chinese place close by. I LOVE the Potstickers with their tasty dipping sauce and typically go for the Beef and Broccoli, General Tso's Chicken, or the Hot and Sour Eggplant. Their Spicy Szechuan Style Fried Rice is delicious too.
