Order delivery from Valcano has been 3 times in half month by far, every time it arrives really fast, the good were still warm and fresh, delivery man was super nice!!! 5/5 ( hope could have some new dishes out) :D
Not bad not fantastic, it does the job rice is always right, good deals with lunch and dinner combos very filling! Satisfies a craving for sushi at a cheap price strange take on chop scallop nigiri has tampura bits on the top... Aburi toro is decent!
Food here is always on point! always get the thailand roll and the wild salmon sashimi. never dissapoints. the lunch and dinner specials are great value!

My new sushi place. After moving from Kits to Hastings-Sunrise I had been trying several different sushi places in my new hood and finally settled on Volcano Sushi....why? They have the best unagi don, and at a very reasonable price too !!! When you ask for a dynamite cone, the prawn tempura is fresh and hot. That's a biggy for me : nothing turns me off more than sushi restaurants putting cold pre-made tempura prawns in a dynamite cone! And tonight I tried something I hadn't had there before - the chicken katsu. It was fantastic: by far the best katsu I have ever had. Nice thick fresh juicy chicken (not a pounded-out dry piece of old frozen cutlet like you get in so many places) and wonderfully crunchy coating. Yum!!! Bravo, Volcano Sushi.

Good food, reasonably priced; dine in if you can. Happily, Volcano is the sushi joint closest to our home, so we have had many opportunities to dine here. Family favourites include the wakame salad, Rainbow Roll, Pink Lady Roll, and of course the sashimi is stellar. Friendly courteous service. Recommend roll sushi made with brown rice. We have noticed a slightly different standard between dine-in orders and takeout - takeout food is not quite as good, and they have got the order wrong more than once, so if you choose the takeout option, I recommend double checking your order before walking out with it. Premises are nothing special but they are attractive, well maintained, and clean. Quality of food is consistently acceptable to excellent, never below par. On some occasions the portions have been surprisingly generous. If you live in the area, this is one of the best restaurants to take friends or family, and not totally bust your pocketbook. Overall, you can be assured of a pleasant dining experience, and good value.

Really Good!. The food is so good. Best sushi in East Van.
One of my favorite sushi joints. Its run by chinese chefs rather then japanese, however they do a good job. My favorite is the wild salmon sashimi! Its like buttah, and melts in ur mouth! The teriyaki plates are filling. I also really like the thailand roll. Their spicy sauce they have is not the best, so i avoid any of their spicy rolls. Go there for the wild salmon sashimi! Its delicious!!
Cheap, Delicious, Friendly. Absolutely amazing prices for the great quality of sushi. The staff are delightful, and the sushi chefs love to explain rolls to you. The thailand roll is amazing! Their seaweed salad is also delicious, the sushi boats are fun too. You can have a HUGE feast for two here for like $20. YUMMMMMMMMM
Fresh vegetables, lots of veggie options, good service, warm comfortable decor. I just went to Volcano Sushi and Grill for lunch. I had a wonton soup, a veggie roll and a yam roll. The prices were excellent and the food was good quality and fresh tasting. The soup came with fresh broccoli and other vegetables in it, and the yam roll had avocado in it. The veggie roll was also good. Brown rice is available, although I didn't have it. The service was friendly and the atmosphere grounded and peaceful. The only thing I'd change is to turn off the sound on the tv and put captions instead, and add some nice music. Maybe they do that in the evenings. I think they might have a woman owner, which I like to support too.
