My friends and I have game night every once in a while but we decided to go to a board game bar this time instead. 131 kitchen and wetbar is located in Gastown and they offer a variety of board games to play during your stay. 131 kitchen also has happy hour offerings from 3-6pm and 9pm- close!
We are on vacation and stopped here for a drink on the patio. It was happy hour with 1/2 price appetizers so we decided to get some munchies. The service was extremely fast and our food was delicious. The fish tacos were extremely good, very fresh and tasty. I recommend this little gem!!
Great service. Sat in the back outdoor lounge-great atmosphere! The wings and fries are awesome!
Awesome Summer Menu. We came in as a group of 8 with a groupon coupon and didn't know what to expect. There were renovations going on, but that didn't bother us.
The staff was amazing. The menu was a bit small for some of our parties liking, but the food made up for that.
Our party ordered the wings, poutine, chili poutine and calamari. These appies were full of flavour and it was such a surprise to say that those flavours were layered so you had a lil party in your mouth!
For the main course our group had fish and chips, 3 mushroom and truffle pasta, the Creamy pesto chicken, chicken and peach salad and a french dip. We were wowed with these flavours as well. From what we could tell most items were local and pretty organic which was a treat.
For Desert we had the parfait. OMG it was so good. All of us enjoyed our food and can't wait till we can go back again!
Had a great time here. Food was good and the service was good as well. It's a small place, but unique environment. It felt as if I was sitting upstairs in a studio. I looking forward to go again soon.
Beyond my Expectations.. Deighton's Well is a great little gathering place for before a night on the town, or after an afternoon of shopping.
I visited the restaurant recently and was pleased to find a selection of burgers and pizzas (I'd been craving some burgers!), as well as appetizer standards like wings, nachoes, and fries.
The burgers are made in house and although the store front looks small, there is a large area upstairs for larger parties, as well as a courtyard patio (away from all the noise and traffic of water street!) and an enclosed back area suitable for groups of up to 20 people.
The staff were friendly and knew the menu, and the food was better than I had expected - I highly recommend the chicken cheddar club. The ingredients were fresh, and their bacon is cut nice and thick. The fries were good too - not too greasy, just the right amount of spice.
Would definately visit for a quick, cheap eat again.
