This is a small bakery located on Broadway, near Alma. They specialize in breads and danishes, the latter of which they offer in over a dozen varieties I had their Cream Cheese, Almond, and Butterfly Custard danish, and also a cheese croissant for my mom. While I wasn't blown away by the danishes, I did still quite enjoy them. The prices are also fairly reasonable, and the staff I met was very friendly. This is a shop that's worth a visit.

Cream Cheese Danish ($3.25):
3.5/5
The outer layer was tender and had a more chewy, bread-like texture and was covered in a sweet glaze. The cream cheese lent a nice bit of tang; I do wish there could be a bit more of the filling however.

Almond Danish ($3.25):
3.5/5
This was covered in a sweet glaze and contained ground almonds and was topped with almond paste. Again, the danish had a bread-like texture and was mildly sweet. I really enjoyed the almond paste, which provided a nice fragrance and flavour.

Butterfly Custard Danish ($3.25):
4/5
This contained custard and strawberry/raspberry jam. The pastry, which was similar to the two previous danishes, contained some sugar, which provided a nice bit of crunch. I quite enjoyed the custard and jam.

Cheese Croissant ($3.25):
N/A

Summary:
Food: 3.5/5
Price: 3.5/5
Service: N/A
Overall: 3.5/5
Recommendations: Almond Danish, Butterfly Custard Danish

To Die For.. Angus Bakery makes authentic pastry, bread and other delicacies, and they do it well. Their cheese danish is amazing, and their cinnamon raisin rolls are worth getting up early for. We live quite nearby, and even with easy access, we miss out on the best stuff sometimes because it goes so fast. The owners are lovely. An excellent member of the community.

I go there once in awhile. Once I forgot my wallet home and the owner said "dont worry, I remember you". Well, I didnt go back for 3 months and then you can be sure I paid my due. They always remember my order ( yep, I dont change my routine). I always order a black forest ham sandwich. I'll be honest, they only put 1 slice of ham which is kind of useless. But, there bread is so light, fluffy and good, it makes the whole difference. Adding fresh iceberg lettuce and tomatoes makes the whole thing amazing. Here is the best, 2 of those sandwiches are $6 FOR BOTH! The picture attache is my dog Jenny and her bestie Syrah. View from the cash desk.
