Pho Win

Delicious sandwichs - only $5, super clean, air con, friendly service and iced water served while waiting for takeaway. Third visit in two weeks! Highly recommend.

This is my new spot in the neighbourhood. More consistenly good pho than "Le Pho" or "Mr. Red Cafe"

I love the vibe in this joint, the vietnamese family that runs it seem personable, and it's just zany enough to seem legit. When I asked them to put on MNF they did. Good times.

The owner Lee told us that she just opened for 3 months and already she is doing good. She told us she does things differently from other pho restaurants like how she imports things from her sister directly in Saigon Vietnam and she likes to do things with quality. Noodles fresh from Vancouver factory and not this package china crap. She said no MSG goes into her broth, unlike other places that want to make a buck. Even though she told me this, I wonder if she oversees operations because my girlfriend and I both are super thirsty and need liquid after. My mouth has this slimy dry mouth feel like I had soup full of MSG. This is kind of strange because she told me there is no MSG. The soup broth was super hot. Never had I had soup so hot before.

I got the Lemon Grass Chicken Pho, It was super tasty, It had complex flavors, unlike plain Pho. Almost like a ramen soup with complex flavors but without the noodle tacky mouth feel. Girlfriend got the Pho special with all the toppings, the toppings were lacking in the soup. Prices seem a little steep too. But there is some truth to what she said. They do, do things differently and there does seem to be quality put into the things that were served. The whole building got remodeled from the bottom up just for this Pho restaurant.
