Tried out this Vietnamese outlet on Fraser Street. Went with the popular choice of BBQ Chicken with lemongrass and rice.
Chicken was succulent and combined well with the sticky rice, chicken soup and the other pungent gravy. Service was quick and staff were courteous. Recommended.

This is a Vietnamese joint located on Fraser Street, a couple of blocks away from 49th Avenue. Their menu consists of the usual popular Vietnamese fare, along with a variety of drinks and desserts. I had their BBQ Chicken, Spring Rolls with Vermicelli and Mango Shake. The food was solid; I was especially impressed by their shakes. The prices were very affordable. The only criticism I have is the service, which can be a little lacking at times. All in all however, this is a solid Vietnamese joint that I'd highly recommend visiting.
BBQ Chicken, Spring Rolls with Vermicelli ($10):
4/5
The spring roll was not exactly hot, but still quite crispy and flavourful. The chicken was tender and flavourful; I was missing a bit of charred flavour, however.
Mango Shake ($4.50):
4.5/5
The shake was creamy but not overly rich, and not all icy. It had a great fragrance of mango, and was sweet without being overly so.
Summary:
Food: 4/5
Price: 4.5/5
Service: 3/5
Overall: 4/5
Recommendations: Mango Shake
Special Combo B’ $11.95
I noticed this brightly lit up place at night and decided to give it a try. I walked in and the decor is very nice. Service is very prompt and they are known for their house specials. Alright, I ordered their shrimp and crab patty soup. First impressions? Wow.... Dude they nailed it on the soup, seriously. The fish cakes are generously thicker then some other places. This item is delicious, you really have to order this one. They also do fresh squeezed orange juice their too. Next time I come back I'm gonna try their other house specials like the butter beef. I noticed that they also do the viet egg crepe in mini individuals which is pretty cool. Excellent job!
Update: came back to eat the bun Bo hue for lunch. Place is packed and busy. The bun Bo hue is just a touch salty and they use purple cabbage hmm... I'd rate that dish a 3.7 so overall I'll have to drop my 5 rating to 3.5
Service is still excellent as usual.
1) music is good (classic hits) oldies
2) food is good (pho) broth was clear, not oily. Tasted refreshing. Cuts of beef were thick and hearty. Noodles cooked well, just the right amount of bounce to them.
3) service was fast
I have been there a few times now. The soup broth is really good. Definitely in the top 3 of all the places I have been to and I have been to about 50 Vietnamese restaurants.
