Here we were at Aubade, a super minimalistic coffee shop. The coffee barista was actually the owner, and he was super friendly and easy to chat with. The milk for the espressos were made with nut milk (and some other organic healthy stuff), just a warning that they don’t have other types of milk. Other than espressos, there were all the other types of coffees that you could possibly imagine, all done in a corner of a thrift shop! It was all very cozy, and I would go back again, next time I have time.
Eldric (the owner) knows his coffee, that's for sure! It was really nice getting to chat with someone so passionate about coffee and brewing. He was happy to share his thoughts and opinions on everything coffee related. The conversation only added to the coffee experience!
Aubade Coffee is not quite a pop up coffee shop, not quite a full cafe, but more like something in between. Located inside one of the most interesting venues I’ve ever seen, it’s stylish but relaxed, very coffee focused but not pretentious and has a highly skilled barista/owner but lacks the arrogant price tag of other high end shops. I have to say, it’s really rather excellent.
