Stopped in for a working lunch. Food was great, and the service was excellent. Jan was a great bar man served us well without hovering or interrupting as we worked. The people who work her including the managers are top shelf all the way!
Visiting son,went in to watch Chelsea match,had breakfast fry not a match for our Ulster fry,staff were brilliant.
I have been saying it for a while now, but here it is again, ever since Chef Sarah Stewart has taken on the mantle of “Development & Training Chef” of the Donnelly Group (which includes all their public houses”, the caliber coming out of their kitchen has taken a 360. “Coming from rural Ontario and attending OCAD in Toronto, Sarah has cooked across Canada in eco lodges, rustic camps, mountain escapes and bustling city-centers.” She was hired to work on developing both people and tasty food. The result is, not only are Donnelly Public Houses the spot for a great night life vibe with plenty of drinks, but now you can sit down and enjoy the food they are served with as well.
The Donnelly Group is participating again in Dine Out Vancouver 2018 with what might well be the most delicious, value-packed $20 Dine Out menus anywhere. Donnelly Group’s culinary team Alvin Pillay, Sarah Stewart, and Chris Stewart have put their stamp on fresh, satisfying, scratch-made menus which are built around a core group of 14 dishes, mixed and matched to create unique offerings with multiple options at each location. The menus also include BC VQA wine suggestions from Bar & Beverage Director Trevor Kallies, and this year, each selection is available singly and in different sized pours for sipping, sampling, and sharing. Thanks to The Donnelly Group, I was able to try out the Dine Out menu at The New Oxford in Yaletown. Here’s a look at what you can expect from 3-course dinner.
The New Oxford is located right in Yaletown and was the first stop of the night. I love this space to just gather with a few friends and have a drink.
Curried Parsnip Soup has roasted apples, brown butter, honey yogurt and some chives. It had a good amount of aromatics in the soup and was delicious.
Winter Salad has red beets, romaine lettuce, grilled onion, parsley, mint, buttermilk sumac dressing, pita bread and black sesame. The salad was quite simple compared to the soup but I personally preferred this a little bit more. I’m just not a soup person, but I love fresh veggies with a nice crunch.

Great place for a chat, the Oxford offers a laid back/quiet scene (upstairs) or a more Pub Style area (downstairs) which comes a shuffle board. Short Ribs are delicious and they have a great selection of beers
Great pub place. Serves tasty cocktails and they have decent food selections. Service is always good when I visit. No complaints, probably once of the better Donnelly group's establishment. Overall experience: thumb's up
I wasn't expecting this to be anything great but I really liked it. The ambiance is really nice and fancy/chill. I was really impressed with the food. I've gone back a few times now and I will go back again!
Excellent food. Located in the heart of Yaletown, this gastro-pub serves high-quality food and beers. Burgers are outstanding. Highly recommended.
They don't have worst service, it's just that they tend to get busy a lot. It's a place to socialize and enjoy great food. I certainly did.
Good food and very reasonable drink prices!
