First impressions upon entering? Wow its very spacious! It's a very nice setup with games like pin ball, darts, and pool. It's even got music for your i! I came here for a boys night out a few times for ppv mma. But the biggest sport for me is rugby. I'm a huge New Zealand fan, ALL BLACKS BABY! As for the food, we only had nachos and wings, and they were decent. Nothing special but decent. As for the beers, they have a nice selection. From light to dark, local to overseas. Can't go wrong with the beers. This is also a great place to host a birthday as well. I can't speak for the food since the reviews had been pretty bad. My buddies and I just had those two appies and we were satisfied. Parking is easy on every corner. Game/fight nights are nice here, I will definitely return for those. Service is a bit on the slow side and casual, but again keep in mind, it's a pub.
Not bad for outskirt of Chinatown. Came here for a PPV fight recently, great place. Menu could be bit bigger and better. Variety is lacking. Pretty Good Service, Crowd was good as we were there for a boxing match. Would come back =)
The food is great. Service can be hit and miss...sometimes it's great, other times its snobby. It's very nice inside and there's nice atmosphere.
GREAT BEER. I'm a bit of a beer geek and they always have interesting guest ales every Friday. The food has improved considerably over the last three months, our latest experience was night and day from the first time we ate there. I'm glad a venue can take it on the chin with feedback and really make a change for the better. Wonderful nachos and an amazing pie !
Great Night. I recently had a great night in the London Pub, met a friend for a quiet Friday drink and ended up still in there at 1am. DJ was AWESOME and I spent the night chatting to lovely ladies being waited on hand a foot by some cute oriental girl. Will definately be going again. I had a Pizza around 10pm and had no complaints.
Food Improved. I had a Veggie burger with bacon & cheese recently, I have had bad food at The London Pub, but am glad to say it's getting remarkably better. I'm always impressed with the service at both The London and The Brixton coffee shop next door so not sure where the criticism comes in from that !
Great food and good atmosphere!! Been several times and had the beef dip (fantastic) and my brother had the curry which he really enjoyed. Played pool and enjoyed some good music!
The past reviews seem to have been very harsh. I had a great craft beer this Friday and a solid fish & chips. I've also been here for weekend nights out and always had a great time !
First really cold beer I ever had in a pub. I came here for a friend's birthday. After reading the reviews about the food i did not come here to eat and my experience was very pleasant. The beer (bottle) was super cold which maybe me happy since I am very particular about beer temperature and often the beer is not cold enough in vancouver bars. There was a DJ playing, there was space for dancing. It is a pretty good place for a good time just keep your expectations low. I would go back there with a group of friends for the drinks and fun. The space is big and it wasn't too crowded even though was saturday night.
Nestled in a restored corner space of a brick building on the southern edge of Chinatown along Main Street, this still relatively new establishment seems to have a carved out a niche for itself with a loyal and locally residing customer base, judging by how busy and loud it got during the course of my stay.
