Had dinner with a group of 10 people for a friend’s birthday celebration. The restaurant is very busy, staff are friendly, attentive and accommodating. The food was good and delicious but the Miso soup is cold. Washroom is a bit small for a busy restaurant. It’s very expensive but still highly recommended to try.

Shabusen's location on the second floor nearly threw a friend and I walking around as we nearly missed it.  We went upstairs on a Thursday afternoon to try out their AYCE lunch menu.  For $16-18, it's hard to complain when it has KBBQ and some Japanese dishes on it.  We were immediately seated since the restaurant was about 3/4 full.

The menu seemed fairly large for an AYCE lunch.  8 pieces of sashimi each was good.  I found the salmon to be fresh and good, however I did not enjoy the tuna sashimi.  Cooked food overall was a highlight.  It's funny though, they just plopped down the raw food on our table and put in a grill, then silently and casually walked off.  My friend and I were stunned by it and eventually after a few minutes figured out that there was nothing else needed and how to turn it on ourselves.  The food itself was average, however the price justified it.

Service was average.  Nothing too great, nothing too bad besides that incident above.  I'd come here for a quick AYCE lunch sushi fix when I'm downtown.  All in all, recommended.

We have been going to Shabusen first in its previous Granville location and its current Burrard location for years.  Never fails us.  Hot delicious shabu shabu and sushi is good and fresh.  Try lunch as it's less expensive and the food selection is almost as good!

i must say, this is my new favourite all you can eat places hands down in vancouver at the moment, with the weekend lunch being $18, it's definitely a bargain for me, with the options of korean bbq and sushi oh my, i can't be any happier, so all the pictures this time that i upload are the one that is done in a single seating in an all you can eat lunch. what i love about this place is the cut of sashimi is massive! it's like they know you're here for a reason, and they satisfy your craving to eat a lot. :)) they know us big eaters too much. and at the same time i must say their weekend lunch, because there's korean bbq meat, the seasoning/marinated meat is definitely good, and the meat is definitely alright for all you can eat quality. and the staff are definitely good, the food comes out within 15 minutes when i was there so definitely good. will come back again for sure. there are a lot more dishes but wasn't able to find them at the moment.

Not many places do Yakiniku in Vancouver; Shabusen is the best downtown AYCE and it delivers exactly what it promises. Lots of choice, some really good sushi, and a big hole in the table to cook your meats. I've had better food, but not AYCE, and I leave here satisfied every time.

I was starving today so I hit up Shabusen. It's an all you can eat (AYCE) sushi joint and if you order correctly, it's not half bad!

Good place for BBQ. Been going here for a couple of years now, and I keep going back. Every time I bring it up to friends for a place to eat there isn't any debate. Great food and the novelty of BBQing will always be a big draw-in for me. Great place and will always go back for more!!

Ok place. It's ok for when you just crave meat, otherwise I wouldn't really eat here. The service was nice, but the food quality is a bit below average. Maybe it's just me, but I don't like sweet meat. The tuna sashimi tasted funny as well. To be fair, it was really cheap. Lunch all you can eat was around $13. I don't think you can find a cheaper all-you-can-eat sushi/barbeque place in Vancouver.

This is not a typical Korean barbeque place. The food is typical japanese sushi and korea food but the service and experience was quite excellent.

The price is on the pricy side but for an all you can eat meal, it is worthwhile.

I would consider go back again but definitely will not crave it in the near future

The lunch all you can eat is totally worth it. Me and a friend ate through everything on the menu but the BBQ chicken.

Complaints of poor service are totally off. We had amazing service right in the middle of lunch hour, an amazingly polite server.

The spicy tuna was a way bigger portion than I anticipated. I recommend BBQ beef over pork, as pork charred more due to the fat. Sunomono salad was actually really refreshing, great meal ender.

Although I didn’t have time to try the BBQ, had Sushi instead. The service was attentive and quick. The orders came in within 5 mins after giving the order. The food was prepared fresh and tasty! The quantity was not too big but enough for me! Will come back again to try the BBQ! Highly recommended!

Contrary to other previous bad reviews, mine is a different one. We were suppose to have a booking at another yakiniku place but it had a fire emergency so we rushed here at Shabusen. Upon arrival, we were seated in 5 minutes I was here with my wife and sons. The food that they made were all very delicious. Service is very quick, and we got what we want as soon as we ordered. So I ended up with a happy heart and left 20% tip. The man who served us was very attentive and friendly. So, my kids loves it, we love it. Therefore, we will be back for more! Very good value too!!! 2 adults 2 kids eat all you can, we spent around $150 including tax.

This place is fantastic! A wonderful experience with great service and fresh delicious food. Located right downtown. Super fun atmosphere. All you can eat dinner is $40.99 - worth it. We were two people and with a large bottle of asahi it was $98. Totally great experience and delicious meal.

The only Japanese/Korean buffet restaurant along Burrard St. Food is reasonably priced. I always come here for meat barbecue and my own option to include sashimi into the barbecue half-cookef. It's a nice place, but not the best in ambiance. Otherwise, they would charge more. Washroom is available. Parking though is an issue. Curbside metered parking is available as being normal in Downtown Vancouver. Underground parking on nearby buildings.

We went here on a weekend (price is differenton a weekday). Price is reasonable for an "eat all you can". Service and food is ok, grill cook your own meat. A lot of Paid parking is available (I don't know on a weekday). It's on the second floor, you can choose to use the stairs or the elevator. Accessible to persons with disabilities. Covid protocol is observed.
