Trees Coffee is a cafe that is close to where I work. I’ve been meaning to go by but being that I always bring my own lunch, I just haven’t had the opportunity to stop by. But the other day my co-worker had the most delicious looking soup from there so I just had to go get myself a bowl of it to try.
I love coming here for their cheesecake, it's some of the best cheesecake in town that I've ever had! It's a lovely little coffee shop and they decorate your dessert which makes the environment all the more enjoyable. I had the blueberry cheesecake which was really nice and creamy. The crumb bottom was just the right amount to balance out the cheesecake. You know this place is good because it's always full and it's difficult to find seats! Perfect place to come for cheesecake on a rainy vancouver day, which I do often.
I came here for desserts and coffee with friends after dinner. It was a bit difficult to find street parking, so be prepared that you might have to drive around and look for parking meters. We parked two blocks away on Powell Street and walked to the restaurant.
Each of us ordered a mocha, decaffeinated coffee and peppermint tea respectively. I tried the cheesecakes at this restaurant in the past. I knew that the texture of all their cheesecakes was very heavy and thick, so my friends and I ordered one piece of very berry cheesecake to share, so it was a good portion for three of us. Plus, each of us got our own beverages. Everything worked out pretty well.
The service was okay. Not outstanding but not bad. It was just like a cafe, so we wouldn't expect there was an excellent service.
We got there around 8:30pm. This restaurant/cafe was quite busy having many customers inside and outside (outside seating). Usually dessert places close early but this one is closed at 10pm.
I wouldn't mind to come back here for a coffee or cheesecake if I am in the same neighbourhood.
Famous cheesecake in BC. I tried the Raspberry White Chocolate and Maple Walnut Cheesecake. The cakes are very creamy and rich. If you are a cheesecake fan I guess you'll love it, but it's too much for me. I can't finish one slice by myself. The Maple Walnut is less sweet than the white chocolate one.
After dining at Taishoken, the 5 of us walked to Gastown for dessert and to meet up with one more friend. We arrived at Trees Organic in a location which I never knew it existed before. I have walked by it so many times, and never noticed. With the heavy ramen broth, I was not interested in any more food, so I just had a Rooibos tea $2.40 instead. I also told them, the cakes were really sweet, and I could barely finish half. My friend ordered the Blueberry cheesecake $7/slice. Everyone loved it, and wondered why I would say it was super sweet. I did like it, but then again, we were only taking small bites, sharing a slice. I think it would be different if each of us had one.
After an early dinner at Hapa Izakaya, Polly, Whitney and I decided to move to Trees Organic Coffee in Gastown for dessert. It is quieter here to have a conversation. We all had caffeine free mocha since it’s late in the evening already. The three of us shared two slices of cheesecake. We were curious about the above cheesecake with the name “The Sin Cheesecake”. It is actually a regular cheesecake topped with marbled chocolate and there is cherry in it too.

Cheesecake. First choice. Only choice.
Though I have been known on a rainy Vancouver day to also partake in the apple cider (also delicious). Never really have been fond of the atmosphere - the place isn't particularly comfortable.
I tried chocolate cheese cake there, it can totally satisfy me, a chocolate addict. And actually one slice is enough for two people. I shared it with my friend, and finally we dont wanna eat chocolate for one week, hahah
The best cheese cake you can ever have. A great presentation mixed with a great taste. Right in the center of gastown. The options are somehow limited, but that's the beauty of it.
Frd brought an Oreo cheesecake take out and gave me half to try. It was soooo good I feel like their Oreo cheesecake was better than Cheesecake Factory in Seattle lol
The sign for “Vancouver’a Best Cheese Cake” drew me towards it because I was craving for one. Ordered a Blueberry cheesecake and it was absolutely amazing. The crust was so soft and melted in the mouth. Fresh cheese cream and blueberries totally satisfied my cravings. I paired it with salted caramel latte and my friend had Americano coffee. Very happy with the service and options available. Also a nice place to sit on the busy street of Gastown. Will visit again.
Found this place while looking for a dessert place. Loved their cheese cake and green tea. Will recommend them as food is awesome. They surprised me with platter presentation. Green tea was super flavour. Do visit this place
Great chill place to relax, study, or just drop into. It's in an old Vancouver warehouse that has been redone so has great character. Trees is know for its cheesecake all over the city and it lives up to the hype. It's flavourful light and their flavors are divine. I can only knock it on the price per Alice of cheesecake everything else is pretty reasonable. 10/10. The photos are the Oreo Cheesecake and Hey Lime Cheesecake
Recently came here for cheesecake and water. Friendly staff members, good portions of food.
Cheesecake was fresh, great and filling.
Highly recommended!
The place is small but cosy. We had Cappuccino, tea and hot chocolate to go with the strawberry cheesecake. The staff were very friendly and thoughtful. Excellent service!
Small, vibey café with good music and even better cheesecake. The coffee drinks are solid too. But seriously. Try the tiramisu cheesecake. Just don't do what I did and accidentally inhale the cocoa powder.
Quaint coffee shop located in the heart of the Gastown neighbourhood. Nice ambiance. The cheesecake is excellent. The London Fog was great as well. Will be back again during my next trip to the City of Vancouver.
Love this place. Their cheesecakes are yummy and the place itself is so cute. We also love their hot apple cider. Cheesecakes and hot cider are perfect combination for this holiday season.
