It's been awhile, and a few countries ago, since I've had Indian food this tasty. Rich, delicious, just the right levels of spice (you can choose - we got our vindaloo HOT, and the butter chicken medium). Small place, good service, but it is the food that is the star here. We loved the lamb - it was rich, not just spicy, and the meat was tender. Naan is fantastic but BIG. Unless you are super hungry, share one order of naan with 2 people.Totally going back when the Indian craving hits again.
It was such a pleasant surprise to walk into siddharthas and discover that they have a halal menu (certificate provided). The food was delicious but what beat that was the impeccable customer service! Both the server and the owner went the extra mile to ensure we had a wonderful experience on a random rainy night and were not shy to offer suggestions and share their stories! We even got to experiment with a few up and coming desserts which were deelish!! For example, lamb is a very tough dish to get right but this was delicious as it was tender not chewy and cooked very well to eliminate that distinct lamb Smell- definitely worth checking out! Gluten free and nut free, as well as, vegan options available!
Amazing food, amazing service and amazing people. What more can you ask for? It's so hard to find such an amazing, warm, friendly culture in restaurants. But Siddhartha's Indian Kitchen has done it all. The staff is super friendly and offers plenty of suggestions on the menu. The mango mojito has lots of fresh mango taste to it, which I love! Everything is very flavourful and tasty! I loved the potato naan and butter chicken! The Thali platter is great for sharing and sampling as well.

This place was a wonderful find. Comfortable, friendly atmosphere. Three of us dined here and shared several dishes. We all agreed everything had a wonderful flavour. I felt it was the best East Indian food I have tasted in a while. We started with a sampler, Naan, Aloo Gobhi, Chana Masala, Chicken Biryani and Galab Jamun. The food was very reasonable.
Good food. Great service. And wig friends yo don’t mind the ambience either. Both the starter platter and the main course were on par with the good restaurants in India.
Ambience was good but small dinning space. Food was above average, not the best in the locality. Overall an average experience. It will be better if they can add more dishes to their present menu.

I can go on penning down the most subtle words of praise in favor of Siddhartha’s Kitchen and it still would not be enough to describe the delightful surprise their food packs in. I was not really a fan of Indian cuisine until I grabbed a bite at this restaurant. Ah, the delicious combination of smoky butter chicken and basmati rice! Will be back again next week with my friends to enjoy a hearty meal.
Siddhartha’s Indian Kitchen is one of those places I keep walking by but never bothered to go in. Glad I finally did on a rainy night to find it a warm and artsy place with dim lighting, generous spacing, and friendly staff. Lots of nut-free, gluten-free, and/or vegan items! Curries felt slighty on the watery side but otherwise taste is good. Price for portion OK.
It was our pleasure to eat out at Siddhartha's Kitchen. I went out there with a group of my friends. We ordered butter naan, daal makhani, a variety platter and gulab jamun. The variety platter was very tasty and I liked it the most. Daal makhani was also good. Would love to come back to this Indian restaurant again.

MY REVIEW: I wanted a place with good-size tables to work on some drawings and I saw that Siddhartha’s was completely empty. I have actually had food here twice before, both times it was takeout, and both times it was disappointing. The first time they actually gave me someone else’s order which I found out when I got home and opened the bag. I walked the food back to the restaurant (luckily it’s less than 2 blocks from my home) and when I got my replacement food I found that they had still got the order wrong.
This time, however, I ate in. I was served right away, which was not surprising since I was the lone customer. They had lunch specials but it took some finagling to get an order of butter chicken with naan substituted for rice. I ordered pakoras and they were delicious. The chai was fine and I think it came with the meal. The butter chicken was only satisfactory, fairly bland, but the naan was outstanding, perfectly crispy, not too doughy, with a thin layer of oil.
The place looks a bit upscale on the inside but who really cares? Despite the lack of clientele I could have used a bit more attention from the staff. I was only offered water at the tail end of my meal, and I had to get up to find out about the bill. This is not a deal-breaker but did not impress.
The price for what I ordered was surprisingly low. Maybe it’s a lunch special deal. Or maybe they made a mistake. Lucky me!
Biggest Rave: I was not distracted by the presence of customers
Biggest Rant: The music was annoying whispering nonsense semi-new age wankery. Even if they had played pleasant music, it would still have been 20% too loud.
I ordered butter chicken and garlic naan. Both delicious! Perfect level of spicy! Also Mango Lassie was good combination! Definitely recommend. I experienced a warm and good service there even though I ordered for takeout. I can feel they are really care about the food! Nice place good vibe :)
We found this restaurant on the Vancouver dine out list and the menu sounded delicious. We ordered the Zaffrani Malai Murg, Semolina Fried Fish for appetizers, Lamb Bhuna and Creamy Malai Kofta for entrees, and Shahi Tulsa and Srikhand Cannoli for desserts. We were also pleasantly surprised that each course came with a wine pairing included in the price. The food was amazing and service was top notch. The staff was super friendly and felt very personable.
We tried their Lamb Roganjosh and rice. The food was delicious; perfect balance of spices and flavour. The lamb portion was moderately big; rice portion was large. The ambience was not bad. I would like to try their other Indian dishes.
Had a lovely time, our waiter was very kind and took the time to remember our names. The atmosphere was very relaxing and we didn’t feel rushed. The food itself was delicious, very filling and so flavourful. We also received a hand written thank you/happy holiday card. We well be coming back soon.
Chefs review- The cook here poured his heart and soul on the plate. Limited people for service in the restaurant, still floated a great Friday night service.
The chicken korma was excellent and the only place in Canada I have had proper naan and roti which wasn’t stretchy (usually Baking Soda,
Gluten extract added) The chicken in the biryani was first cooked in tandoor and then mixed in added a much layer of complexity. To my surprise the dine was great, and the team sent a house made water goblet pouches to accommodate the time.
Like any great Indian restaurant, you can tell a lot about a restaurant through its green chutney and biryani. Try those two, and you will always know.
I will be back, hungry for more!
